Thank you! I’ve been looking everywhere to find a direct comparison of the Wildberry/Wild Rose/Black Pearl heucheras, and it’s taken me some time to find your video today. Great content!!

I purchased a assortment of dormant huechera roots so far all leaves are green,is this normal?
@northrupmj2 ай бұрын
I recently planted a few of these. I have drip irrigation and I gave them each a half gallon an hour emitter. Is this enough? Is it too much? I usually run my irrigation once a week. They are all in my shade garden. Not very deep shade, but they never get really any direct sun. And I have clay soil that seems to drain well in most spots

Where can I buy these plants? Is it available online? I would love to purchase many of these varieties for a new shade/partial sun area. Great video! Thank you

These are all Proven Winners varieties. We recommend you checking your local garden center first. Otherwise, you can check www.provenwinners.com

WaltersGardens , I live in NW Florida near Pensacola. My growers and nurseries around here carry no types of heuchera. I’m guessing it is not compatible with our zone. Thank you for answering my post.

@@robgaskins6505 If you Google which variety you want, several reliable sources come up. I'd suggest going with a seller that you can easily get a refund from if it arrives in bad shape.

Is wildrose coral bells grow in afternoon sun??
@WaltersGardens2 жыл бұрын
I am sorry about the delay in our response, but 'Wild Rose' would do well in sun! Typically the lighter colored leaves do best in shade and the darker colors do best in sun or shade.

Waw they are beautiful. Where can I get to buy the seeds? I checkef amazon but people advise not to buy from amazon.
@WaltersGardens3 жыл бұрын
We do not sell seeds. We sell the liners and bareroot items for wholesale, but Proven Winners would have them on their website. www.provenwinners.com

WaltersGardens thanks 😊
@dleija843 жыл бұрын
@@patriciaramsammy6824 I don't know if these make viable seeds because many Proven Winners don't, but you can get a couple plants and see what happens. If you're like me with a very tight budget, I'll invest in one plant, take good care of it and with heucheras I'll remove a healthy side shoot and pop it a shady but bright spot. They usually look like they're dying but eventually put on new growth. There's probably a better method out there.

The black pearl was a perennial of the year? 😳 I'm Dumbfounded because it was not in my experience with trying to grow it. Also, not sure what plant the full sun claim referred to but it sure ain't black pearl. I tried it in full sun (increased water supplied) Burnt. I tried it in full sun with afternoon protection. Burnt. I even tried part sun. Burnt. So back to the shade they all went just to eventually lose every one of them. 😡

I had the same problem!

Any idea what the trick is for success? Did you ever figure out why you didn’t have any luck?
@Eric.Mercado2 ай бұрын
@northrupmj The trick for me is to just stop growing them and enjoy them in other people's gardens. As much as I love and adore these plants as a whole-I've never seen a heuchera I didn't love-they just don't love me back in my area (Phoenix 9b). Sadly, I've eventually lost every heuchera I've planted. I've had some varieties last a year or two, but they all fizzle out. Although they lived, they never thrived. I've tried different hybrids, varieties, growers, colors, locations, sun/part sun/shade, amounts of water, and soil amendments. I literally tried everything before concluding that they just won't grow and thrive here. So now I love them from a distance.
@northrupmj2 ай бұрын
@@Eric.Mercado oh wow I hadn’t considered that. I live in mid Missouri in zone 6B. Hopefully I will have better luck.
@Eric.Mercado2 ай бұрын
@northrupmj I'm sure you will have much better luck in zone 6b. It's much cooler and most are rated low enough for it. The only thing to look out for is any freeze/thaw cycles, which tend to cause heaving with heuchera more often than other plants.
