I'm going to restring my all bisque baby doll. He was made in Japan around the 1930s. He has pin joints (little wire hooks). This technique can also be used for vintage hard plastic and composition dolls that have a similar stringing method. I am an amateur and learning right along with you! If you are an expert I hope you didn't cringe too much! 😂
Here are the supplies I used. I got my elastic on the Dollspart website: Dollspart.com dollspart.com/index.php?main_... have some of the other supplies I used.
doll stringing elastic sizes 1 and 2
needle nose pliers (any craft store)
hemostat clamp (craft store, online, medical supply)
scissors
a needle tool ( I ordered mine on amazon)
kit leather (optional) for lining joints first on all bisque. I use old gloves that I thrift
