exactly, if its cheaper and just sits there its not worth it. as a kid we always had the off brand stuff. As a mom I go with whats good there are some off brand stuff that's absolute fire.

We buy the great value fig bar family size and comes in 4 bags. The tare like 2.98. they are my husband's fave. I'd have to go with the Fritos. I thought dt was bland. We buy little Debbie's only on sale but we don't see that much anymore. I think the Kellogg's on raisin bran. Definately like raise. Thanks to your family to go through the Dr vs. main brans.

@@ch1cksng3r Aldi is the perfect middle ground. Better then Dollar Tree especially for coffee, fruit and prepared foods but, better priced then name brands. Aldi is inconvenient for me ( close earlier, inventory less reliable, and the bagging thing) but, when I can get there I do. Less products made in China , better guarantee, easier checkout and more flavorful food even better then the brand name quite often. Price can be half especially nuts, baked items and cereals. Their home goods are top quality and unbeatable prices

@@barrez9307 you’re so right. I’ve been using a pressure cooker that I got there years ago. A fraction of the cost of instant pot. It’s still going strong. Same with a handheld wet/dry vac. Battery lasts a long time. I burned through quite a few Dirt Devils and other brand name products. Can’t say enough good things about ALDI.

Toastem has actually been around a long time. I used to buy that brand at my local small town grocery store. I always liked them better. Especially the Cherry.

It's so funny that all of your kids look so much like their dad, but have so much of your personality. Honey nut cheerios are my favorite! I never ate them before we had a coupon when my oldest son was a toddler and he wanted to try them. Now we always have a box on hand, and rarely buy other cereals.

My husband used to work for Malt-o-Meal (MOM brands). They make private label brands in addition to their bagged cereal. I would go to my local co-op and see the Three Sister brand (All natural) and laugh because it’s the exact same cereal as the bagged one for 3 times the price. The only difference was Three Sister’s didn’t have the vitamins sprayed on which made it less healthy than the cheaper bagged version.

When i lived in Tennessee I used to eat the Brims brand a lot its a hit or miss on there products some are super good such as the pork skins and cheetos. I was pretty poor growing up toast ums were a big treat for me

I don’t know if you’ve mentioned it before because I’m new here but you can make homemade pizzas really cheap from dollar tree! My location has two sizes of crusts, 12 inch and a smaller size that’s great for individual pizzas. They also sell pizza sauce too! I just grab other toppings and cheese from a grocery store. I highly recommend checking them out if you’re on a budget, throwing a party, date nights or if you’re just wanting to try something new. I hope you have a great week and I’m loving your videos! 🥰

Fruit and cake😂💙😂💙😂 those Fig Newton commercials used to be on every 5 minutes when I was a kid. I love the Dollar Tree version of Thin Mints. They are so good. You need to try them. I do find a lot of the Dollar Tree things are a bit more dry than the brand name ones but many are totally fine and I will buy them to save a little money. The Little Debbie knock offs are terrible🤢

We have been doing blind taste test between store brands and name brands here through all of the limitations in stores. We have found some that we like both and some we have preferences but not always the same. It is always fun. My husband and I preferred store brand cheese puffs over cheetos. Lays and store brand chips were equal. You have to separate into layers on the little Debbie nutty bar to be eating properly.

I don't know why, but they were a favorite growing up. Ironically I had a pretty healthy diet growing up but I am a fatty fat. My husband grew up on sugar sugar and more sugar and his whole family are lil twigs. So unfair.
