she accidentally stepped on his foot and said "excuse me Kenny" they were so amazing. Always wanted to see them in concert. That was a bucket list for me. Sadly, it never happened :( Rest in Peace Kenny.

I saw him at one of his last concerts. Didn't even fill a 5000 seat arena. He could barely walk and had trouble remembering the words but there were still flashes of his brilliance.

That is sad. I saw Kenny in the 80s and he mastered that audience. I’ve seen Dolly three times and she’s just amazing. Never saw them together, though. 🙁

It’s still hard to listen to Kenny Rogers without tearing up a little. He was such a special man and always had a special place in my heart, as he was the first artist I ever saw in concert when I was 5 years old. I was particularly lucky to see him again not long after touring with none other than Dolly Parton herself. Not only were their voices so beautifully compatible, but you could see the genuine friendship and affection between them. I loved whenever they would team up together, like the Christmas special they did in the 80s called A Christmas To Remember. The accompanying album, Once Upon A Christmas is a must play every year in my house for the holidays. Another artist he sounded great with was Dottie West. Every Time Two Fools Collide is a great example.

You should listen to them singing "We Got Tonight" at a concert. They had best onstage chemistry. He originally sung that with Sheena Easton. Oh, and if you haven't reacted to Kenny Rogers "Lady," that would definitely make your wedding playlist. Lionel Ritchie wrote it for Kenny.

The Bee Gees wrote this song. Dolly herself is a prolific songwriter. You probably know one of her songs she wrote... "I Will Always Love You" which she wrote and released in the 1970s and was later covered by Whitney Houston.

Barry Gibb & the Bee Gees wrote a complete album for Kenny Rogers called "Eyes That See In the Dark." The songs are all awesome. Islands In The Stream was a song from that album.

Growing up my mom played kenny rodgers all the time. He has so many great songs. Lady would definitely make your wedding play list. If you listen to it check out the version he did alone and then he did a performance of it with Lionel Richie. Other songs by kenny are coward of the county, the last 10 years, the gambler, through the years, and buy me a rose. Just to name a few.
