Dolly Parton is a humble, grateful, & gracious person. She wrote "I Will Always Love You" when she was going to leave the Porter Wagoner show. Wagoner was instrumental in starting her career. Later, when Wagoner fell on hard financial times she bought his whole discography. When Wagoner got back on his feet, he asked her if he could buy it back; she told him, "that's what I was waiting for" & sold it back to him for $1. She also started the Imagination Library for kids from birth to age five so they could have free books. She started the My People Fund which gave more than $8 million to people who lost their homes in the Gatlinburg fires. She gave $1Million to Moderna Pharmaceuticals to help them make their COVID19 vaccine. Not only is Dolly Parton a phenomenal songwriter, singer, & businesswoman, but she is also an EarthBound Angel. Ms. Parton, may G-D continue to lavish blessings on you so that you may lavish blessings on us. Thank You!

@Millicient Aspinet In the Hebrew religion, we are not allowed to spell out His name. We also know Him by different names, eg: The Almighty but His true name, the name he gave Moses, is only to be uttered, in a whisper, by the Rabbis, on the holiest of days, Yom Kippur, & they must lay prostrate when they say it. It is a matter of not showing disrespect to The Almighty or His name. "Thou Shall Not Take The Lord's Name In Vain."

Dolly is a Super in superstar, way before internet and viral go side by side. She was already wowing everyone with her amazing country voice. she did not change her style or image because she was famous. She did what she always wanted.. Sing or write from heart and all will follow. But What she did with her fame makes her a saint. Because I believe she truell wanna help by sharing her life experience by using her talent.

One of the few trained voices that ever graced popular music. She goes from the bottom of the well to the height of heaven. Her rendition of "Black Roses, White Ribbons and Blues" is gorgeous. A voice performance major myself, she has one of the purest soprano voices I ever heard. She could sing opera with the best and harmonize with these two on a country/western song. From someone who grew up in East Tennesse, listening to Dolly on local TV, especially the Cas Walker shows on Sunday mornings, this was a blessing.

AND ALL OF THE GIRLS I.MENTIONED ARE EQUALLY JUST AS TALENTED AS DOLLY AND LINDA RONSTADT

Folks talk about how beautiful all three of them are -- and I can't argue with that as well (hell, I've been in LOVE with both Linda and Emmy Lou for decades) -- and Dolly's not bad either! But what really strikes me is, to just see how much pure fun they seem to be having singing together. There is an absolute love of making music that just shines through. These three women seem like they would have just as much fun sitting on the back porch sipping ice tea as sitting in front of an audience. THIS is what making MUSIC is all about!

Linda has been very open about her mental health issues and her struggles with major depression. You can kind of see it in this appearance. Might be my imagination, but I feel I can see her "using it", as artists say, pouring anguish into these songs.

Always wanted to comfort Linda. Most remarkable vocalist -would not have heard this type of music without her. What makes that voice so heartbreaking.?
@pbohearn7 жыл бұрын
Lakeside Path Frogs: She had such a beuatiful tone, great vocal range and command , yet she tapped into and expressed in such a heartfelt, honest and even at times raw way deep despair ("Long, long time"), need ("Love Has no Pride") and loneliness ("Willin', ""[Blue Bayou") SO SOULFULLY that if you were feeling those things in the moment you had your angel Linda letting you know she's with you. I can t tell you what a friend she was to me in some very lonely dark times of my teenage years. She touched the wounds in the gentlest way with her tenderness. True love expressed through her voice.

The first time I heard Desperado was Linda's cover of it. The sad, soulful sound of her voice seemed like it reached inside you and strummed the strings of your heart. I've loved her ever since.

No one sang as pure as Linda. Just beautiful! The three of these ladies turned me, a young NYC city slicker, to "country" music back in 1985 due to their Trios work.

I grew up with country music during the reign of Patsy Cline and like many others, thought she could never be bettered. Then, along came Linda Ronstadt with the voice and beauty of an Angel. How on earth can that be beaten?
