Very happy to see three people doing a set review on N100 again :D Nelly is a great cohost and I especially liked that there were more discussions and differentiating opinions on cards. Can't wait to see the new spice show up in the N100 showdown video's (or a bigger style N100 or CanLander tournament!). Engagement for the engagement gods!

So the problem with putting Kaldra Compleat into play with Danitha is that then Living Weapon triggers and you are forced to move the equipment to the germ. You do still get effectively a Batterskull and Kaldra all for 5 mana, which is very good, but you aren't getting the absolute house that the 9/9 would be. Here is the LW definition rule for reference: 702.92a: Living weapon is a triggered ability. "Living weapon" means "When this Equipment enters the battlefield, create a 0/0 black Phyrexian Germ creature token, then attach this Equipment to it."

Also, you can't use Danitha to attach one of the kamigawa equipment creatures, since they will still be creatures. Reconfigure removes the creature type to get around this.

That is incorrect. Sigarda's aid works with the Reconfigure creatures and it is pretty much the exact same thing. Also there is this in the rules for reconfigure: 702.151b: Attaching an Equipment with reconfigure to another creature causes the Equipment to stop being a creature until it becomes unattached from that creature.

Great review! One card I would maybe like in your missed section is Founding the Third Path. I think it would do great in Sorensem, for example, but I'm really in doubt about its viability and would love the veterans' take on it

can confirm, Temur Good Stuff is a nuts deck. You just get to play a pile of some of the best cards printed since 2019 (plus Savage Knuckleblade if you're feeling spicy)

So, I have no idea if it is a deck in highlander, but the first thought that I had when I saw Micromancer was High Tide. I know it's going into a friend's combo commander deck, but I thought that it might be an interesting way of using the card.

The only card I‘d want to mention is Robaran Mercenaries. Because if you have a Kikki-Jikki, it can do the „slow Kikki“ at their eot. Its not pib intensive and you probably already have white for the Cat at 4.

Soldier tribal is full of just good cards, thalia, esper sentinel, adanto vanguard, dryad militant, dennick, lavinia, etc. and can make use of lurrus, a cost reducer in ballyrush banneret, tutors like recruiter of the guard and ranger captain of eos.

Any thoughts on Archangel of Wrath? 4 mana for a 3/4 flyer with lifelink seems perfectly reasonable and if you get to kick it even once it gets even better.

I love to see you all again, Nelson I thought was as if he was always a part of it. Small note, I feel that each time you refer to the fact that you must hurry up, It diminishes from the enjoyment. Could you possibly take your time, or just not appear to be in a hurry? It's takes me out of the episode every time.

Agreed, it also feels like a bit of discussion was stifled in the name of speed. I understand that there is a list of cards to get through and time isn't unlimited, but it's weird to hear that they need to hurry up 20 mins into the episode.

I really like the Leyline Binding has a high enough CMC to dodge Prismatic Ending and make them put a lot into their March of Otherworldly Light

Isn't there plenty of enchantment removal that doesn't care about CMC? Assassin's Trophy, Vindicate (and variants), Wear//Tear, charms, ..., Reclamation Sage, Qasali Pridemage and many others People will simply adjust while you have to jump through the hoops of Domain for just a "Banishing Light".

Academy Loremaster seems good in a draw go deck. Your not taxted on your opponents turn and the additional 2 mana for you opponent can be a lot. It can stop mono red from casting 2 or 3 spells in a turn or a midrange deck from doing anything if they draw that card. It also helps you resolve spells against control as they its makes their counter spells much more expensive if you want to say cast EOT FoF. I think its better then you give it credit for but I don't play Canadian Highlander so I could be wrong.

Isn't the new Danitha just a better Boonweaver Giant for Pattern/Rector combo? Only because it's actually castable and useful if it's not combo-ing.

Boonweaver can pull out of your library which is a pretty big deal for a combo. Probably not a bad back-up line though.

Regarding Micromancer and spellseeker time walk : Micromancer > Ephemerate > GSZ > Worldly Tutor. GSZ for witness, tutor for spellseeker then Time Walk. It's going in, we don't have the points to be picky about our tutors.

I feel like academy loremaster is more for decks that don’t want to play anything on their own turn, and less for decks that have a lot of mana. Altho even then, you can’t play the actual loremaster on your opponents turn so idk how good it actually will be

I really disagree on peacekeeper as a D&T player. I think its quite good for now, but definitely could see it being phased out in a year or two. It just helps shore up vs cards that can be tough to deal with for D&T, like jitte, W6, ltlh

In the enchantress stompy deck Danitha lets you rebuy auras, and if you are at 5 mana with no auras in the yard you probably won.

@@ayyohwinning @Joanna Jarvis Danitha's ability doesn't work with enchantments that can't be attached to creatures. Such auras don't even leave the zone they are in. Unless you mean she's easier to cast with the aura ramp, which I still suspect isn't good enough for canlander since enchantress mostly benefits from cast triggers.

U know it's funny that they mention tower of the magistrate, cuz a commander show mentioned it a few months back and almost immediately the card spiked to $30+. That's the part of commander that I find annoying. Some famous/ semi-famous person mentions a card for commander, and then people go" i need 50 of that!" U don't really get that with pretty much any other format. But hey, what do I know?
