In this incredible adventure on the island of Dominica, I’ll be taking a boat ride through the jungle to have an amazing roasted breadfruit and cod breakfast!
INDIAN RIVER BOAT RIDE: On our 30-minute ride down the Indian River, our captain Eric steered us through the brackish water, where we saw hibiscus plants and bloodwood trees growing along the banks, as well as crabs along the shores.
BUSH BAR: At the Bush Bar, the cook and bartender Alicia served us some bush rum. Then, we watched as Alicia and the staff cooked some saltfish, bakes, cocoa tea, and roasted breadfruit, with avocado and cucumber on the side. The crispy and doughy bake, along with the tender saltfish, was excellent, and the breadfruit had a nice, smoky flavor.

I have always eaten avocado with toast or tortillas. Since I was a little kid. It's nothing new. But u know certain people like to act like they invent things. Then gets popular and sold in restaurants. I also love cassava or yuca fried with bell peppers, chili peppers onions and seasoning.

David again a big thank you. Towards the end when you were giving a recap about the days event, I said to myself "Why do I feel like am watching a documentary?" Guiness book, take note. David you're on to something and am loving it. I'm learning more about my country Dominica and my Caribbean region and I am enjoying the journey with you. Like I say "it's a whole vibe." You seem to engage the island and its people in a meaningful way. You truly connect with our people and the island. I love that codfish and breadfruit, and the bakes. That cocoa tea is a boss. Trust me that codfish and breadfruit was incredible and bakes to die for! Indian River was also surreal and lush green magical awesomeness. The boat ride ..the foods..the rum ..natural surroundings and above all the gracious host Alicia...very welcoming. I liked the cocoa tea especially ..looked really creamy/tasty and the bush rum...great herbal drink. And no I've never had roasted breadfruit...onlu boil/fry...but I would love try. Some focus solely or mostly on food, like David, Mark Weins, and the Best Ever Food Review Show, and others do a mix of food and other aspects of culture like Fearless and Far. So, let's share his work and move him into the 2 million viewers range.

David: another good and enjoyable video. "Up a lazy river" and "Row, row, row your boat gently down the stream, merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream". What a great way to spend some time in Dominica. Lovely lady too. Fried bake, in some form, is found all over the islands and can be eaten with anything, mostly with salted cod fish like buljol or fried up that way. We would put olive oil all over it to moisten it, especially when eaten with any provisions. That's a different way she made the cocoa tea (not hot chocolate). All in all, a very nice healthy, organic meal. David, you needed some pepper sauce though, LoL. Happy to see Nathan enjoying it too. Caribbean and island life: the best in the world with all that fresh air and wholesome food. Well done.🙏😇💕🕊️🇹🇹🇨🇦

I would really like to eat or swallow the pound breadfruit. Other name, "Tonton" with a nice fish sauce. That would go down so well ! But it seems as though, they don't prepare it anymore. Am I wrong ?
