Carving is hard, dusty and sometimes things don't turn out the way you want them. Mistakes are always happening, its what you learn from them that counts in the end.

old men/wood spirits do not symmetrical eyes; it gives the carving additional character. love it ❤‍🔥❤‍🔥

That was a great wood spirit... It was very different. You teach us a lot, especially with your detailed information on the burrs you use as you carve.. That is very appreciated.and very useful for beginner (and seasoned) wood carvers. Keep it up!... Thanks and best wishes.

Nice wood spirit - love how it turned out! Are you carving green wood or did you give that some time to air dry? Just curious about dry times. I've got some cherry that I recently cut down and want to eventually power carve some on it.

ItI was down for about 1 year, outside cut to that length. It was pretty dry. Our climate is pretty dry with low humidity.

@@MattCarves Sounds good! This cherry I have has been sitting in the garage for over a year. Just bought a Strong 201 micro motor a few months ago and want to give it a go.
