A tip for applying the foil tape …. Use a small bit of the backing, paper folded up, to smooth down the foil just after it’s been stuck down. It’s a great way to smooth out all any creases.

Looking amazing. You can definitely see the happiness with the light at the end of a tunnel now. As opposed to it being a train coming towards you 😮. Thanks for sharing 👍

Clever sink. Benefits of a double sink with built-in cutting board with small intrusion into cabinet below. Toward the end of the last century In doing a DIY kitchen I found a hydrophobic paint/finish that I used on the dishwasher enclosure (4 or 5 coats on exposed osb counter bottom, plywood sides). Linoleum floor. No idea if it was worth it, but never had any problems in 6 years.

Knee protection when on the hard floor Tim! And I speak as someone who has had a full knee replacement due to my cartilages being shot. (I'm a bit older than you!)

Use a cloth to rub down foil tape, use a butyl tape to set your sink / cooker hob onto !...easy peasey !

I think you should paint your worktop some sort of clear coat under where dishwasher is. Or use some mineral oil to impregnate it. Sorry for my english best of luck to you from Poland.

And similar theme to the last comment I made on the last kitchen video. The new build developer never installed the vapour barrier above needless to say the kitchen worktop has blown 5 years later only noticed after changing the dishwasher

Just a heads up in 8-10 years time, when you next install a built in dishwasher .... "Fit the handle on first"

I hope you are not suggesting it’s going to take 8-10 years before we are living in the barn house? 😂 I know that’s probably realistic but I’ve been leading Jo to believe it will only be a couple of years. 😂😂

That sink install is fun, remember fitting same one in at my sisters kitchen refit. Same issue with end panels on that refurbishment. So expensive bought solid oak for end panel and plinth kick boards which was cheaper than chip board ones!
