I loved the darker lighting and the ambiance of the inside of the old Pizza Huts back in 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. And the pizza was better back then as well.

It's a nostalgia of a better time, attributed to being younger, healthier, better or younger looking. That is why a lot of people feel like that. Historically, things were not better. The further back you look in history, you see a lot of problems, less comfort, and even Atrocities like genocide.

Yea but this looks absolutely disgusting. If im going to eat unhealthy, I at least want to eat quality unhealthy. If something is absolutely disgusting then it is a complete waste. Its like eating a salad swimming in ranch. If you weren't going the healthy route eating a salad why drink a cup of ranch with lettuce in it when you could have just got pizza or a cheeseburger. Fast food is now so expensive that you might as well eat a local pizzeria, burger place, or taqueria. That is unless you are eating one small item off a dollar menu. I feel this way about donuts on a personal level. As a teenager i worked at an old school donut shop that made everything from scratch and the donuts were incredible. A lot of donut shops now use low quality ingredients and the donuts suck. Donuts are terrible for your health so they better be good. If i need to force myself to eat something unhealthy that tastes like crap, then i might as well force myself to eat something healthy that tastes like crap.

100% correct!! There was no chain pizza better than Pizza Hut circa 1991. I remember the mushroom pizza was my absolute FAVORITE back then. And they changed the recipe sometime not long after that. It doesn’t taste anywhere near the same anymore.

I think the point that's trying to be made here is sure it's fun to have a pizza but this isn't pizza, this is an excessive nuke to your health. It's so unnecessary. You can make your own pizza and it will probably be far healthier and way tastier as well.

@@TheFragranceApprenticeCouldn’t agree more. I make my own and the dough has 4 ingredients - flour, water, yeast salt. The sauce has 4 ingredients - tomatoes, salt, EVOO and basil. Toppings are various cheeses, meats and vegetables. Astonishing how something so simple can be transformed into a 79 ingredient horror show. And the worst bit is it tastes nowhere near as good as actual pizza.

I ordered this thing once, and the morons drizzled oil all over it by mistake instead of the honey glaze. One bite, and i took it back and got a refund. There are other places here that make pizzas with honey on it and they are really good, but now i just take pretty much any pizza and drizzle some good honey on it with some fresh ground pepper 🤌

I used to work for Pizza Hut as a delivery driver in the 1980's and again for a bit in 1990. I've eaten pizza hut a few years ago and I can vouch that the quality of Pizza Hut has severely declined since then.

@@NarwahlGaming In the late 70s and 80s we were in once or twice a month. Lucky if it's once or twice a decade now. Supreme pan pizza or cavateni were good and had more toppings back then. Heard they discontinued cavateni. Wife came up with an excellent homemade replacement for the cavateni.

As a former Pizza Hut manager, I endorse this message. Papa John's "outpizzas the hut" because their hand tossed isn't frozen. Pizza Hut's pan crust starts as a half inch frozen disk. Worst pizza joint ever!

Pizza Hut use to be great in the 90s when they had a dine in restaurant. We would love to go as kids cause if you read a book they would give you a voucher for a small pan pizza. It use to be great quality, now it taste so bad I wouldn’t even feed it to my dogs.

@gregd6706 yup but they're dropping like flies. We used to have 4 of them in my city. One went outta business in the 90's it's now a mom an pop pizza and sub shop. Another one just got torn down last year and Dave's Hot chicken built a restaurant in it's spot. And the remaining two are now carry out only ever since the pandemic started 4yrs ago 😢

No More. I'm not buying from Pizza Hut any more. I don't like that when you order on-line to pick up at the drive through, the website prompts you to leave a tip. A tip for what? If you don't leave a tip, ya gotta wonder what they might do to your pizza. Pizza Hut, if you want to give your employees more money, give them a raise. It's ironic because this comment reminded me of one time when I saw a homeless man outside of a Pizza Hut who had written on cardboard that he was homeless and hungry. I bought him a pizza and brought it to him. He told me to not even leave the pizza for him because their pizza was too unhealthy to consume. I didn't judge him for it or have my ego hurt or anything like that, I was however taken aback at the time. I hung out with him for a while until my own pizza was ready and I left.

You're missing the point. Pizza isn't known for its sweetness (like soda is) and should have little to no sugar. An average pizza slice usually has 3 grams of sugar. Now, compare that to this Pizza Hut's 12 grams, that's 4X greater than the average slice of pizza.

@BeeCheap-uc3tc Yeah, honey is sweet. It's the same principle as putting pineapple on pizza. If you don't want sweet pizza, nobody is forcing anyone to buy it. It's something new to try so you're not just tasting the same thing over and over. A pizza is a canvas, there isn't really any set rules.

My coworker and I work in healthcare. We have discussed the taste quality in beef from grocery stores . Make a homemade meatloaf and tell me you don't notice how meatloaf should taste and how it now tastes . Our food from grocery stores and restaurants has changed . You don't know what you're eating. Just saw an article about ppl who have heart attacks have been found to have plastic particles in their arteries. Bottled water brands are found to have plastic . Foods being recalled each week . Be wise and mindful about what you consume. What's popular is not always good for you . What's good for you may not always taste great but may save your life .

I'll make my list of buy one get one items and items that are cost friendly. I buy a lot of Publix brand yogurt, fruit cups, ground Turkey by jennie o that is bogo a lot . Bogo protein shakes, water , eggs , items to make salads. Trust just Google Lady Savings Publix ads on Tuesdays and you will be surprised how much money you save but still get what you want and need. My first job in high school was 5.15 an hour . Perseverance and Faith years later working in medical industry I'm pushing 40 an hour. God will elevate you and I Boldly Declare for Overflow Blessings to Take your minimum wage and multiply it exponentially so you will never have to worry. 2024 Rise !!!

Alot of the meat found in grocery stores actually comes from other countries, or is processed in ither countries as well. People are paid to not slaughter their livestock and plow under crops.
