hey Damon. I don't know about that because it could just mean that there's a delay on that card's price dropping while others reacted quicker. I mean an RPA of Mahomes is still worth a lot of money, but if it only dropped 10% in spite of this poor play, I would feel very hesitant to think it would only remain at a 10% loss since the player on the card is the #1 factor of a card's worth

True but I think there are two things in play. Those who wind up with high end cards (outside of investment consortiums) are less reactive. They are team fans, supercollectors, or simply have enough money to weather short term trends. Its a similar thing I noticed with short term collectors dumping base and more common Trout, while the high end issues have barely budged. And another reason is they have higher potential. If Mahomes is just saving up energy for playoffs, his cards could rise again, none more so than the grails and unicorns.

People are to smart. And honestly though, either everything is just starting to come down in price or I’m getting some great great buys these days. Not sure what’s going on and it’s kinda scary. One buy was so criminally low at auction I thought the seller would cancel it.

You’re delusional. Anyone collecting Mahomes probably isn’t a pos and couldn’t care any less about what his wife or relatives are doing with their life. It’s about appreciating the player or a potential investment due to that players success in their career. Andy Reed is having health issues and I think that’s distracting the overall performance of everyone. Regardless, Mahomes is dropping because he’s lost a few games in a row and the teams chances of a Super Bowl appearance will his year are dwindling down. That’s the sole reason his cards are dropping. 🤷‍♂️
