An over-complicated life can kill our joy. We need mom life simplified. This means looking at ever facet--from too many spoons to too many soccer games.
In this podcast we will discuss some of the underlying reasons and how to approach God for the answers.

When I was a little girl, I often got holes in my tights. My parents didn’t have a lot of money so they couldn’t always replace my torn tights. One time I had a pair I especially liked and they were thicker than my others. I got a hole in them and asked God to fix them for me. Later, I put my hand in them to look at the hole I was sad about and it was gone. He healed my tights and I got to wear them for a long time.

Your such a beacon of light when there's not a lot of mama mentors out there. I would love to know how you feel about prepping. I've noticed a lot of Christian homesteaders or families in general. Some times I'm not sure how to feel on this my flesh wants me to *see trouble coming ans prepare but my heart also feels God cares more for us than the flowers and the birds. It seeks like a split topic.

There's a fine line, imo. Joseph got ready, Noah got ready, the virgins with the oil lamps got ready, etc. But they didn't hoard a bunch of random stuff and garbage. God provides for the birds but He doesn't plop the worms in their nests - they have to go out and get them.

This is so good! I'll have to listen again and again. I often struggle with bad attitudes and ungratefulness. God is showing me these things: doubt, fear, wrong view of Him, etc. He's working on me!

I love listening to you. I know I’ve commented this before but I want to say it again. A lot of times your talks speak directly to me and is what I need to hear at the time!! My life is very overwhelming with my current circumstances I’m in and I feel like I’m never caught up. I just try to do the next thing. So 10 minutes into this video and I feel I need to get up and declutter something!! 😂 I’ll watch the rest later!! Thank u for the push I needed this morning. Be blessed.

It's true. We have to be led by the Spirit--sometimes God graces us to stick in there and allow Him to love through us even in hard situations, and other times He tells us to move away for His reasons.

It seems like we are always purging stuff. Next, I plan to purge social media, mainly FB and IG. They suck away time and joy.

I do really get that--I haven't been on FB for a coon's age--and I actually tried to do some promoting on IG, but it just did not happen--I have so much real life going on. I only use social media to keep in touch with our own family circle, with this platform, my website, and email, that's plenty for me. I think a lot of us are realizing that we need to sift through the banal on the Internet and only pull out the most richly rewarding. It's hard when there is so much to detract, but it's sort of like going to the grocery store--if you take a list and keep from looking at the pretty displays, you're less likely to make impulse buys, and having a full stomach before you get there helps, too.

Your cups of soup was not bad because it was old, but it was poisoned. Our family bought a NEW box of ramen noodles last month...and we finally realized what was making people VERY sick here was those ramen noodles. Only my oldest children ate them at different times and immediately were sick. I am now watching where food comes from, that was clearly poisoned.

Yep! Expiration dates are largely a $cam (whicheventheUSDAadmitsto) and you'd be hard-pressed to find food in stores these days that don't have "bioengineeredfoodingredients" (or creepy crawlies) in them.
