I just took delivery yesterday. Soooo I’m just figuring out that there is no parking sensor type of notification?? I rented one that was a 2022 and it would show how many inches I was from an object, mine doesn’t do this??

Good thing to add about auto turn signals off is if you merged to left lane to make left turn and there is an arrow drawn on the pavement, then your turn signal will be still on until you finish your left turn, even though you technically went strait after merging left into turn lane ;)

Love your channel as I am brand new to the Tesla ecosystem! I'm still very confused with how Tesla opens its doors for passengers. When opening and closing doors for all passengers if I set the default to open only the driver's side. But, this is a pain when you have passengers who are coming along for the ride. If I unlock the car, sit down and close the door, and then press "unlock" on my driver door, it unlocks for all passenger, but my door opens again - making this a two step process - (unlock for passengers, and relocking my door). If I unlock the car, sit down and press one of the "lock" icons on the navigation screen - I have to first lock (one press) and then unlock (another press) to open the passenger doors. And, I also found that pressing the right stalk twice only works if I was in drive, and then press the stalk twice - the right stalk double press option assumes you were driving before - so this is only when you are finishing your ride and wanting to let out your passengers. The only way to open the doors for the passengers when entering the vehicle in ONE step is to hold the driver's door button down until you hear it chime, BEFORE closing my door. If you know of another way to open the doors for the passengers when ENTERING - in one step assuming the default (open only driver's side) - I would love to know..

Outstanding video, Chris. I didn’t know half this stuff existed. FYI, I just got my MY LR a week ago and we now have dome lights on either side of the hazard button and above each door in the passenger row. I didn’t even know they existed! They are turned off by default.

You can charge the '23 Tesla 3 standard to 100% with the LFP battery that the standard has. At least that's what I've read. Full charge is 272 miles.

Chris, do you have a video on safety features? I was just in La in good area off Melrose and on w forest knoll parked with my grandkids, I was in back seat and my son and daughter in law went to a store. I put the car in dog mode so it would stay cool and all of a sudden a black mercedes pulled up next to my new Model Y and 2 kids ( young men in hoodies) opened the front door and a one opened my hatch. I thought the car was locked in dog mode. The guy in front backed away when I yelled “what are you doing? Get out of my car”. the guy in the back opened the lower trunk and took my mobile charger and closed the hatch and they took off. No one was hurt, thankfully. I yelled “what are you taking? Bring it back”. They didn’t say anything. I have the sd card you suggested. But I don’t think car cameras captured anything, no sentry event.

Sweet Jesus. Sorry to hear that. If a phone is linked to the car and that phone is in the car, the doors will unlock. One thing also is to tell your kids to lock the door manually. No need for dog mode, just climate ON should work. This way even you with your phone can't unlock the door unless they physically press the unlock button inside the car. I always have a habit of checking my app right after as well. So you can turn on sentry mode with dog mode now.

I have a 2019 tesla model 3, for some reason no matter what settings i change, no other doors open when pressed in - i have to manually click unlock all doors on my drivers screen - this can get a bit annoying/embarrasing. Any ideas why this is happening? Thanks for this video though - its super informative!!

Thanks, I followed your directions on my new M3 and successfully entered my personal information and set my specifics and it works great. My problem is when I set up my wife’s iPhone, for whatever reason she still needs to use the Key Card. I deleted her phone and again tried to set her up again, still needs her Card. In addition the Tesla App on her phone doesn’t work, it’s the basic App for understanding and/or buying a Tesla, not the one on my phone that shows all the individual settings e.g. Controls, Auto Pilot, Windows, Locks, etc. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Tesla App, nothing changed. I know I must have screwed up something, can you help.

make sure she creates her own tesla account. Then you have to add her as a driver to get all those features. Then, add the phone as a key and link her profile to her key

I just rented a 2023 blue Tesla model 3...supercharging is really easy and it's tires are great///drove from Louisiana to gulf shores and back there's three main Tesla charging stations one at sangrani plaza in Biloxi and one in the bucees in Alabama and coming back Slidell has one...i don't even have to buy a Tesla either I can rent one really easily as easy as renting a Corolla ...the only thing I couldn't figure out is how to open the frunk and the trunk

Not sure if anybody noticed but rear driver side window in the little purple infotainment car shows OPEN. I wonder what the explanation is on that? I have the EXACT same issue and I just picked it up from service and they said it's fixed and well its not fixed and shows the window as down even when its fully closed. I took the delivery of 2023 MY on Feb 5. Weird.

Mine was actually open though haha. Try 2 finger reset! You can all try going into service mode and reinstalling software

So I got a response back from the service team after they had me calibrate the window, "Thank you for trying the calibration for us. From what we are seeing it does appear to be a software bug in the current firmware package as your car is on a unique factory update. We don't have a timeline yet on the next update release for your car but we are hoping it will be in the next couple weeks. If the next update does not change the issue or a new update has not come out in the next week or so feel free to make a new appointment with us for the window issue and we can take another look and nudge engineering about the update fix timing." I will wait and see what happens.
