One of the things that makes having a right idea of marriage is that the world, all the media we see, doesn't have the right view of marriage. We're told married women should be their own person when that isn't exactly the case. We're told a husband and wife are one flesh and this is opposed to the idea of either one in a marriage being their own person. A husband is to have self-sacrificial love for his wife and she is to submit to his authority. Have you ever seen this in a romcom? Have you ever seen this in anything the world makes? No. We need to give a right idea of marriage and show it.

Also, Christian youtubers reminding people of God's design for sex has nothing to do with "sex saturated". I'm referring to the world's standards and how they have made an idol out of sex.

Does the Bible not say that God's word is a lamp unto our feet, and a light unto our path? (Psalm 119:105). Does the Bible not say that we stay pure by keeping according to thy word? (Psalm 119:9). Are not all things that God made and ordained important to discuss? Why is it okay to look at and study familiar verses of scripture time and figures that many have known for years, but when sex is brought up (which is also a Godly matter and shoud be discussed in the right context), you say that it should be silenced? And for the record, I am talking about The Church as of right now and how it's important to discuss *all* things of God. But since you are stuck on KZfaq, I will say that even if you think this guy is overdoing it with how many videos he focuses on when he comes to sex talk, he's not "bragging" about the sex he has with his wife or how good is wedding night was. And a reminder that God says sex is for marriage, so if you have a problem with someone "blocking" men for having it, take it up to God.

Sex with random people becomes empty after a while. Do not let anyone tell you different. What if your partner cannot have sex anymore, what if you hit 60 and realize you only had sex in common? You have nothing.

I've heard it taught on different occasions that if you're burning with passion then you should get married, and would use 1 Corinthians 7:9 to support this. Using that verse in this way can be problematic, especially when given to a teenager or a single adult who's struggling with lust. More often than not, this leads to rash decisions-making with potentially disasterous results, and doesn't deal with the underlying heart issue that someone giving this advice may not see. I believe this verse really only applies to those who are already dating, not waiting - and even with that, I think Paul gives this as more of a concession than an actual prompting solely due to the weakness of the Corinthians. Like you said, we should be using this time to grow into the kind of man that that Proverbs 31 woman God brings our way will want to be with.

Have my urges under control as a single guy who has never been in a relationship or ever had sex or even kissed a woman or gone on any dates makes it hard when theres not very many available single Christian women i know it’s different for everyone but when you grow older just makes it all the more harder sadly christians give such bad advice to how to deal with the problem of singleness and finding someone who is for you sad to see but its the world we live in unfortunately ive mean many people over my life so far most are busy with jobs or marriage or other things that finding single women in the church is so difficult almost impossible

I feel you! I'm a woman who also haven't been on a single date and I know how hard it can get. I can only advise to try picking up some new hobbies, talking to friends more frequently and talking to christian women on christian dating apps. Trying to get to know their soul and befriending them first. Those type of things help me to stay feeling relatively happy in my singleness.

One thing that I would like to add is to be a man like in 1 Timothy 6:11-12 as it provides things to directly pursue for our faith. A godly wife is a wonderful thing but if you can be a godly husband, then a strong relationship and example of Christ's love is shown

I don’t think so. While I think you become more attracted to someone as you grow to know them, if you’re not attracted at all, that’s not fair to her imo. Above all else her heart for God is the most important.

Some of the Bible's advice on this matter seems difficult to piece together. 1st Peter 3 tells us not to adorn ourselves outwardly, even with minor things like hairstyles or clothing. But Paul supposedly thinks it's better to marry than to burn with passion. Is there actually anyone who "burns with passion" for someone who isn't adorned outwardly? If so, good for you, but I have yet to meet anyone who measures up to that. I understand the importance of clothing ourselves with good deeds, a meek and quiet spirit, etc., but that can apply to any friendship as well. I don't know many people who "burn with passion" for their platonic friends with these qualities.

What He meant about adornment was that beauty fades away so women should focus more on what is internal (spirituality, character) which last longer than what is external (physical) which fades as you age.

@@Naturallife7. I wish that was what the passage said. But unfortunately, none of that is in the Bible. Peter said *don't* let your adorning be outward. He didn't say "keep it in perspective" or "just don't let it get in the way of your inward character." He basically said "this is a thou shalt not." Which makes sense in context, as Jesus had nothing outward about Him that would make Him physically desirable. Neither should we.

@@nameirrelevant0Ah, but you have to consider the whole Bible. In the Old Testament there are multiple passages that mention beautiful women or the act of making themselves beautiful in a favorable way. Especially in Song of Songs.

@@ModelJames13 A lot of Song of Songs is metaphorical for a relationship with God, but even for the parts that do literally refer to a woman being beautiful, it refers to natural, unintentional beauty, not the beauty of hairstyling, or exercising, or makeup, or anything else done intentionally to improve the appearance. In fact, in the Old Testament, women who adorn themselves outwardly are usually called harlots and threatened with punishment (in Isaiah specifically) for caring about their external appearance.

@@nameirrelevant0The woman in Song of Songs clearly wore jewelry though. Verse 10: "Your cheeks are beautiful with earrings, your neck with strings of jewels." Like a lot of things in life that fall under Christian liberty, I think moderation and careful thought are the key. Is improving your appearance beneficial to life? Yes, as long as it's not an idol in your life. 😎

We are made in the image of God,and are supposed to only settle with one man and or one woman ! Sex isn't just sex ,its a special thing,its sacred almost to share bodies with someone special.

Its referring to both. The bride of Christ as well as what to look for in a wife and how to be one. Scripture can have duel meanings metaphorically

I might be hyperbolizing a little here but the church tells young men “You better settle for missionary sex because your wife can’t perform, the things you see in porn is unattainable, real life sex isn’t actually that good. Shame on you for putting those expectations on your wife,” And then we wonder why men are still struggling with porn.
