I was too scared to kill him because I suck at pve in dst and I barely killed deerclops with help so I just lead him away from my base with way too much food because I’m a Wormwood main

Fun fact if you make autumn very long bearger actually spawns the first autumn. I haven't tested with long yet and I forgot what day it was on my very long autumn server

The Beager will always be a Special Mob to me as it was one of the first Wiki Pages I added info to. Specifically the Detail how Monster Foods damage him. It was when I lured him to Couple of treeguards that had taken care of the previous Bearger, While they did get him to low health, he killed them and started to eat their meat. And before I could react I saw him drop to the ground dead. I am not saying I was the first to discover this, but I was the first one to add it to the Wiki, the text I wrote has since been altered. Still, fun to see it mentioned here.

One upon a time I actually accidentally killed the bearger by giving him moster meat. He'd just killed a nest of spiders, and I gave it back when he got pissy at me for taking it.

I'm glad they buffed the storage space to 8 on the Insulated Pack (on DST). While still not phenomenal for the reasons you mentioned, it at least makes it a definitive straight upgrade to the Backpack, as it well should be.

I put autumn to long, so he always shows up near the end. I had like 5 treeguards after him and killed him in half a day. Not a single living log until deerclops killed a couple of them. Even then the treeguards killed deerclops pretty quickly too.

and now, when i crafted hibernation vest, i always use the "repairing kit" to make myself ready to next winter, it's useful, when you have entered ruins, cuz you can repear the eyebrella, and use your deerclops' eyeball to make "houndius shootius" (repairing the pseudoscience machine is needed) also i enjoy your vids, so you know what does that mean :)

alot of bloody monster meat you say i think you meant "reload your game until you find 3 reed trap setpieces or use a mod!" also for the furs you can use the all mighty deconstruction/construction combo saves you alot of fur

Just took down my first bearger 👊 And by 'took down', I mean 'ran him through the woods like a pansy because I suck at fighting, until he woke 2 treeguards'. He managed to take them both down, but because they were fighting on a spider nest, he'd killed a lot of spiders, and that fluffy idiot munched away his last 50 hp on spider meat.

@@TheBeard777 Thank you ^^ I got about 14 days of autumn left (set to 'very long') and I'm playing Wicker, so I'm finishing up the last of my preparations and then taking your advice on using books for all but the last harvest. Edit: update: So Deerclops spawned on like day 3 of winter and I tried the same method. It worked, but I made the mistake of aggroing the treeguards in the same spot, and I promptly lost my last 1 hp attempting to stop a spider from eating the eyeball. I failed and the eyeball's gone. Maybe I'll get lucky and he'll spawn twice

I made autumn long and he spawned at the end of the first autumn so I had nothing ready and I wasn’t prepared when he came because I had just came out of a cave 0_0

This vid reminds me of the time Bearger came to our base on the second autumn on the third day. Me and mine friend were surprised and had to scramble for safety and had to get ready. We were trying to get him away from our base and not eating our food. We had a easier time fighting the Dragonfly with preparations than a surprise Bearger. Then I named him drop bear-ger.

Late note to add but as of Warley being added to the game, the pack is now 8 spaces like a normal backpack. Because the chef one is now just like the old version of the pack.

Bearger was changed in DST with how good works. If you take food from him he is now instantly enraged and will chase you down, but will become neutral again after a short while. Used this to get a bunch of Treeguards to cut him up.

One time I left Bearger in the swamp because my character was starving. I was able to return to it the next day and finish it off. However, in the second encounter, when I did the same thing, the Bearger despawned. I read a bit about this but I'm not sure if the info was updated. It would seem like the Bearger despawns if you're too far from it. I don't remember if it was further the second time around or about the same but I was really disappointed. I was looking forward to getting more thick fur...overall I just wanted to take it down. 😆

if you're watching this video in 2021, the insulated pack got buffed, the Gears and Electrical Doodad cost was reduced to 1 and the amount of inventory slots was increased from 6 to 8 (just in don't starve together!), so I think its maybe worth it now

I currently have a pet bearger in dst . I’ve been playing for around 150 days? He’s still where he spawned, he stays AWAY from my base, and he even killed Deerclops for me, without eating the eyeball!!!! He’s a good boy

So this is how to kite bearger, Have a hambat OR mulitple weapons and multiple armor and healing items ready. Also he got a really bad sanity aura. Btw 3 tree guards can kill him instantly without you having to do anything xD. Know its good to understand how he works and how kill him, was just a bit funny.

I put bearger on fire with thw darts just to see what would happen and shortly after I did that stuff went DOWN. Bearger seemed a lot faster and kept destroying everything in his path and setting the materials needed to remake them on fire as well while also CATCHING UP to me.

Dude I had my entire world on default in Don’t Starve Together and Bearger spawned in day 28 and Deerclops spawned 2 days later when winter came

This guy waltzed into our living area and started eating things, destroying things in his process. Then my friend accidentally hit him with with a torch. THEN HE CAUGHT ON FIRE, STARTED PANICKING AND RUNNING AROUND THE BASE , SETTING EVERYTHING ON FIRE. That happened two or three days ago btw, also it was my first experience with the bearger

I was told if you plant seeds you get from trees you won’t anger the tree guardian. Is this true? Edit:Also when examining a fire staff webber says "We didn't start the fire" wich i think is a reference to Billy Joe's We didn't start the fire. Lol

You are absolutely right, and Succession Home is very right in telling you how to use that to your advantage! If you struggle with the big-boys, using tree-guardians against them is a HUGE help!

I find it useful to take him through that massive group of spiders that usually spawns near a desert entrance because you can get a stupid amount of spider loot and eggs. Also if your lucky spider queens can kill him.

It takes me so long to do this I made a house in don't starve hamlet with 40 rooms And I died And. I made another With 31 rooms And I was mad My character just disappeared I was SUPRR MAD The same happened 10 times And last I made a hour with 10 rooms I thought spawning a sinkhole will be like a cave thing But when I left I spawned in a world with DS+HAM And I am deleting it now I hate my life

I didn’t know he comes first autumn if you make autumn very long and I have never made it to bearger before so I didn’t know what he sounded like and I thought it was a hound attack so I stayed at base and that was a mistake.
