I absolutely agree, I've been to multiple gyms and one gym down the road has one of these calf raise machines and is by far the best in terms of range of motion.

So the bar that the weights slide into isn’t the standard Olympic size width? Sweet home gym by the way bro. I been looking into getting one of these calf machines forever now.

Thanks man and yeah the Olympic weight plate adapters would be extra, but I recommend getting them if you use those type of plates.

I do not know it you have another calf machine (or a leg press) but you want to have a calf movement with your knees straight, as well as bent. That movement works more under the calf muscle more than the calf itself....it would be like doing leg extensions without any squats or leg presses (not completely the same but close)

Nice piece for a home gym but it’s not full commercial grade - no commercial machines come with standard weight horns .Regardless، I hope you’re still enjoying it 👍

It is commercial rated and has the warranty, but Body-Solid obviously knew tons of people would want it for home gym use and having the standard plate size option opens it up to a larger number of people. It wouldn’t be my top pick for a commercial gym setting, super high quality for personal home gym use though.

Matt Tolbers they don’t last with regular every day wear and tear for a powerlifter. They’re good if you don’t lift heavy or put them through work but I’d rather have good commercial equipment like hammer strength.

This actually is commercial grade. I do agree hammer strength is more for the super hardcore lifter, but a good amount of Body Solid commercial grade stuff is great for the average home gym lifter and will last many years. Thanks for your opinion and experience though bro
