DONDON is a new Korean BBQ restaurant opened by Chef Sungchul Shim, the owner-chef of Michelin 1-star Korean restaurants Kochi and Mari :)
Instead of offering a luxurious atmosphere, DONDON features a relaxed Korean street-style setting with dry-aged pork and a variety of traditional Korean drinks such as soju and makgeolli. It’s a truly Korean experience!
While New York has many upscale Korean BBQ restaurants, DONDON stands out with its unpretentious atmosphere and side dishes (like Kimchi Noodle Soup and Old-School Lunchbox), which make it feel like a popular BBQ spot in Korea. On the other hand, the quality of aged pork is exceptional.
