Great stuff. One suggestion: A full length strip of that reflective red/white tape on the top of the ramp when it's up. (So on the bottom of the ramp when it's down). Will greatly improve visibility.

It's called Conspicuity Tape . Not required on this little trailer but definitely would make it more visible.

Quick thought I usually add something to hold the trailer plug up on the trailer so when I’m using my trailer around the yard I won’t drag the trailer plug and damage it so I can still tow it without damaging and fighting trailer light problem

Love the trailer JD. I’m curious about the applications that the hitch can handle. Is that something that would be ok to use on more than the farm? The only thing I would suggest adding would be a light inside the toolbox as well as one facing the deck for easy loading/strapping in the dark. Other than that, I think it’s awesome. Well done!

Add a LED light strip on the back of the toolbox so you can have some light when loading after dark.

Nice. I have the same 5x8 trailer purchased at Home Depot in ‘21. Only difference is that mine does in fact have the A-frame tongue and also included LED lights with the side marker LEDs as well. I really like the look of the black stain and the wheels on yours. Can you provide the amazon link to those wheels/tires? Thanks

I have the same trailer from tractor supply for $999. I use it primarily to transport my zero turn mower. I made 2 wheel locks at the very front out of a spare 2x4 I had, so I can just drive over it and my wheels stay in place between the 3 pieces of 2x4. I found without those wheel locks at the front, when I would strap down my mower, that the front wheels would want to spin during transport and sometimes my straps were loose when I got where I was going.

I was going to buy a carryon trailer from Lowe’s ,.. now I’m definately going to get a Karavan ,.. this trailer seams so much better well built ( I watched your other videos also ) … if you see this and get a chance can you tell me what the name of the stain was that you got from Amazon,… looks great ! …… Thank you

The only thing missing is a winch. I mounted a wotm drive hand crank winch so i can pull up a golf cart or lawn mower.

Mine is rattling apart broke both gate hinges at the same time on the highway and all the plastic caps on the rails are missing or worn down and lost a few pins to fold down the rails

When the suspension sacks out with a load, the tires are going to rub the fenders. That's the only problem I see with that upgrade. More tire to fender clearance is needed. Anyone else agree?

Carry-on trailer it's pretty capable I use every day for work and I can say yes I recommended for sure I can't complain I bought it on sale from northern tool 899 plus tax ... Great value for money 💪

Planning to get one of these for a new raft. For tie downs, I don’t think I’ll have the space to mount on the wood due to raft width (5’2”). I plan on removing the sides to use as flat bed but would using the side bolts/pin be an option or would you recommend an alternative??

0 why not add a lift gate assist on a tailgate to be sure to up and down it

Check the tongue mounting bolts to the frame, I don't think it's supposed to wiggle

It's not loose or wiggling, it is a single tube draw hitch and is actually twisting.

@@Itsa_Mea no single tube hitches are either welded in or bolted in. If it's welded it shouldn't be moving. If it's bolted, it could possibly move

After going back and hear him say "it floats there" showing the tongue twisting I agree it probably is bolted and could be loose. Initially i thought it was just flimsy but he should check to see that it is tight or try to tighten the draw tube to the frame. @@smonroeh
