Composed by David Wise. Recreated by me. This was made possible by locating the original instrument samples from workstation keyboards and drum machines before they were put into the game and rebuilding the soundtrack from the ground up, applying some modern mixing techniques along the way to lift the veil of 16bit compression and create an updated listening experience. The "ooh ooh" part reminds me of my sister. She loves to do that part whenever I listen to Mining Melancholy.

Finally I can rest in peace. I always thought that the chorus part were people humming, not zingers, but this restoration takes the music track to the next level. My nostalgia gauze just exploded!

I love that there's these levels that aren't just a straightforward "point A to point B" scenario. This level is a puzzle.

People always mention Stickerbush Symphony but for me this has always been the best song of the DKC trilogy.

I'm really curious if David Wise has heard any of these restorations and what he thinks of them all. It really is incredible being able to hear how these games would have sounded if the music hadn't been so compressed back then.

As a kid I thought the background vocal harmonies were the sounds of the bees buzzing to the music. Hearing the restored vocals really changes a lot. Incredible.

Man. While the brambles theme was always beautiful, Mining Melancholy was my favorite track as a kid. Combine that with the level aesthetic and I fell in love with those mining levels in the game. But then I heard the "chorus" chime in at

This game definitely needs to be remastered for the switch, with this exact tune!!! Oh and I’ve always admired the background to these levels: diamonds, gold and emeralds
