In this episode, Margarita and Kristen sat down with Elvis’s cousin, Donna Presley!
Donna is Elvis's first cousin - her mother Nash and Elvis's father Vernon are brother and sister. Minnie Mae “Dodger” was also her grandmother. Donna share stories about her time at Circle G Ranch, Graceland, working for Uncle Vernon, and all about the Presley family. These are some truly beautiful stories!
Donna - it was such a pleasure speaking with you and getting to know you! We are so grateful for the time you spent with us. Thank you for sharing these beautiful memories about your family with us. We cannot wait to see you in person in Memphis soon!!

DONNA SAID people ask her if Elvis was that good looking. Of course she said “yes” . My girlfriend saw him in Vegas close up and she said he was so good looking in real life that his photos don’t do him justice. To me his photos are gorgeous but could you imagine being better looking in real life!!!!!💖💖💖👑👑👑👑

What a wonderful interview with Donna. I loved the story about Elvis telling her she couldn't marry her fiance. If he was that picky with her and over protective with her....could you only imagine how over protective he would have been with Lisa Marie? Oh I wish so bad he could have lived to finished raising Lisa Marie. Her life would have been so much different and better. That breaks my heart every time I think about that. But I pray they are together now.. I'm gonna miss Lisa Marie too. Thank you ladies for sharing this interview. Loved it. ❤❤❤

I played a Louie Armstrong song at my Dad's funeral in '88. All these years later this song would come on when I was driving to visit my mother or on the radio when we would be going into a store or a restaurant or commercials while the family is watching a movie. Odd places it would play as it is an old song and my Aunt would say the samething would happen to her and his brother. I definitely believe my Dad connects with me and his loved ones with this song. It was his fav song. Elvis kinda got his way, he bought Circle G then sold it and you all moved back to Graceland so his Grandma had family/company near.

Just now having a chance to listen to this interview. I got to about 17 mins in where she talks about God blessing Elvis to do extraordinary things…I have thought about that and believe it 1000 percent. He was human and had his faults (just like David) but he had an incredible talent and the stars, so to speak, lined up in a divine way for him and then what he did with that while on earth and even into the beyond could not be explained except as God’s blessings and working through him. I thank God everyday for Elvis and what He did and continues to do through him. I just had to stop the interview and contemplate on that because I feel so strongly about that. Thank y’all so much for having these great guests and such long and in depth interviews. 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻

I do believe that Elvis Presley was a gift from God. I also believe that Elvis Presley sacrificed himself for others. It is very intriguing to me that people cannot understand that Elvis was a self-less person who put all others, including the Black people who were denied, marginalized, disenfranchised and considered less than humans, in the forefront of everything- music, healthcare, housing, and so on. Thanks to the God of justice, however, most people the world over recognize Elvis Presley for what he was: a talented humanitarian.

Great interview! I met Donna a few years ago in Memphis during Elvis Week at Marlowe's who hosted a special breakfast meet-n-greet with several people in the Elvis world. Donna has the Presley charisma. I never met Elvis, but I had the exact same experience meeting Donna which most people who met Elvis describe. Donna's presence is very powerful. I had questions I wanted to ask her, but once she started speaking to me, I could not formulate any thoughts other than "I am talking to Donna Presley". When Donna spoke to me, 100% of her attention was on me and she genuinely seemed to really want to know about me as an individual person. We chatted for about 10 minutes and she told me some of the stories she told in this interview and showed me Nash's book which she had reprinted and which I immediately bought and she autographed for me. I left feeling exactly like many people who described interacting with Elvis once and who then considered him a lifelong friend. I have seen many Donna interviews, but your interview with her is exceptional. She told stories here I have never heard before. I hope you do get a chance to interview Donna again and, if so, maybe you could sneak in a couple of questions for me. 1. Delta Mae - I would love to hear Donna's memories of Delta, who must have spent a lot of time with Donna as Delta spent most of her time with Minnie Mae, who Donna frequently visited. 2. Nash - Any memories of Nash would be welcome, even those not directly connected with Elvis. Nash was a preacher and gave many sermons and I have always wondered if any were recorded? Keep up the great work!!!

When I was growing up it was not a loving family or home i remember seeing the concert that was televised in 68 or 69. I was in the floor in front of the tv. They showed a close up of him. It was like he looked right at me and after that I knew I was loved. I know that sounds silly but that is the wffect he had on me.

Im not done with the video yet, but I couldn't wait to comment. First off thank you for what you girls do, and to Donna for taking the time to share! Second, I'm so happy there are other people who feel the way I do about Elvis. Throughout my life I had little Elvis moments sprinkled to me, but it didn't come to a head until over 2 years ago. I saw the Elvis movie on my birthday. What a roller coaster I cried so much and felt so much that day. And when he came on the piano I knew it was him even though i had never really seen him. Since then I have had so many 'Magic Elvis Moments' I honestly think he is one of my spirit guides. And I'm sorry you went through a dark period, but I am happy Elvis helped you. Honestly its the same for me. My life was a mess, but since he came into my life I feel like the pieces are coming together and he is teaching me important things. I also feel like I understand and can relate to him on an emotional level. So much. Sometimes its almost too much (I don't mean that in a bad way), but I love him so much, and don't know where i would be without him. Thanks for reading if you did. Just my thoughts. Congratulations on all the new born babies in the family Donna! May they be happy and healthy! Also thank you all again for taking the time to make this video, and share the love of Elvis! Good luck on your tours Donna, and safe travels!

I remember the day he passed away. We came home from school and heard it on the radio. We ran downstairs crying and told our Dad Elvis is dead! He just looked at us and said don’t say such things! We said but Dad turn on the radio I don’t know what it was about this man that touched the hearts of so many. All I can say but God. God gave him a double triple portion of talent and Love. It’s so sad that he had to live so secluded. I wish I could have met him. But I’m a bit older than Lisa Marie. Never had that opportunity. Would love to go to Graceland one day!

Kristen, if it’s not too nosy of me can I ask what your accent is? What part of the US is it from? I’ve got a thing about accents and love to identify them! I’m Scottish so obviously have a Scots accent but even over here there are so many different accents depending on which part of Scotland you’re from. I’m from Glasgow, but have to admit it’s not the prettiest accent, as there are so many more attractive ones in my country. Thanks.

@@ThoseElvisGirls Thanks so much for your reply! I had to look up which states are in the mid west though as I’m not too clued up. The reason I picked up on your particular accent is because it reminded me of the accent of an actress in the old tv series “Roseanne”, so I looked her up and it turns out she’s from Illinois, so that fits! By the way did you know that the only time Elvis ever set foot on UK soil was when he stopped over in Scotland when he left the army in 1960. Apparently his plane from Germany stopped to refuel in Prestwick Ayrshire, and there was a U.S. army base there at the time so he visited them and chatted to fans who had got wind of it. Lucky them! There are photos taken by a local reporter at the time and you can see the photos online. I was only 12 at the time but was a fan even then. I’m 75 now and still love Elvis.

@@ThoseElvisGirls I suppose most countries have a variation of accents within them. Some are more attractive than others of course. Over here we have always watched American movies and tv shows, so we’re quite good at understanding most of the accents and different pronunciations of words. Viva La Difference as they say! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Many times, especially throughout the mid 90s early 2000s she would always be around Graceland. Also, it’s Elvis’ and not Elvis’s. Y’all adding the ‘s and it’s not actually the right way to add possession to a name that already ends in “s”.
