Did y'all watch the entire video ? All I saw was part of the song. Anyway, the drummer is John. He now plays for The Beach Boys. Susan is NOT on this recording. She wasn't in the band in 1966. Mrs Cowsill was on the record but was too shy to sing, so most of the high harmomies are done by Bob if I remember correctly (Lead vocals by the best Cowsill Billy IMO).Yes, Bob's voice could get that high back then. They also sang the theme from "Love American Style". The producers originally approached the Cowsills about playing themselves on the Partridge Family but, their dad (managed the band) insisted that Mrs Cowsill (Barbra) play the mother. However, the show had already hired Shirley Jones for the part. Dad (Bud) said either or Mrs Cowsill plays the mother or no Cowsill would be signing any contract to be on the show. Susan's older brother Richard taught her all those go-go girl moves. Bud didn't get along with his son Richard, therefore he wasn't allowed in the band. Instead Richard went into the Army and was stationed in Viet Nam. The whole Cowsill story is very sad. 5 Cowsills have passed away, only four remain.( As of 2024, the group consisting of Bob, Paul and Susan, and occasionally John, still perform) Barry died in Hurricane Katrina in 2005 it's a long story.the comment section isn't here to write a book so, I'll leave it at that. That was odd. Anyway, fun fact: The original name of this song was 'FLOWER GIRL' but the writer was told to change it at the last minute (there was another song out with a similar title) so, he rattled off "The Rain, The Park and Other things" . The title never appears in the song.

I would recommend their song "Indian Lake". The little girl is Susan. Sadly, only three of them are still alive. Susan said that she loved doing the Hair video, because she got to have long hair. Her mother kept her hair short like the boys.

The Cowsills | The Rain The Park And Other Things....It was the version from the 2005 Billy Cowsill benefit concert that I recommended months ago. Bigger family. Bigger & better sound... It took a while for Donna to get to the point of Cowsills to Partridge Family lol... I am glad the you got the see the family as there were back then.
