@@user-pl7rz8bm2h i doubt she has enough money to buy it and keep it running herself. its extremely expensive to upkeep that's why its being sold and soo relatively cheap. jay has a ridiculous amount of money so he wouldn't need any partners who might outvote him and ruin it. and she's really no more of a race car driver than jay lol

I really love that Jay is so great to the car community. I know Donut is big, but he lets so many people into his collection and the cars and coffee meets. He truly loves this world and sharing it with everyone. Jay is the man. Im sorry about his wife.

@@andrewbaskett8581 I was thinking more of him being a silent partner. Not running it. He’s got historical ties to the place. He’s probably done 30 or 40 shows there. He does a great job of picking people. It’s just up north from where he lives. Around 70 miles. Most of his car buys have a story behind them. Willow Springs has amazing stories behind it.

Jay never said he didn't like Ferrari. He said he didn't like the dealers or the fact that Ferrari wouldn't sell him the car he wanted without buying a lesser model first.

33:12 One of my coworkers does this with his electric wrangler. The battery only gets you 25 miles, but he drives about 15 miles to work, charges at work, goes 5 miles to the store or wherever, and then another few miles back home. Saving 30+ miles a day, 5 days a week, for a vehicle that gets 15 to the gallon is pretty big. That adds up fast.

I have a used Chevy Volt. It’s a great car. I work from home, so I only put gas in it every other month. When taking road trips, I don’t bother charging it as it gets 37MPG.

Auto Club’s land is being used for warehouses and supposedly the remaining part NASCAR owns will be a short track which is looking unlikely.

Coupe vs sedan: I always preferred four doors even if the rear seat was tiny, because it’s so much easier to throw stuff in the back and pull it out. Backpack, briefcase, pizza. Coupes often have worse headroom and rear visibility. But to be honest, even sedans have such thick C-pillars nowadays the rear visibility stinks.

Those 7th Gen Celicas were super easy and inexpensive to modify with worthwhile upgrades, I'd love to see another iteration of the Celica capture that same level of upgrade-ability on the cheap 🔥

30:30 Think of it this way: Every EV out there on the road _makes it easier to keep the gas cars around_ as well. The gas cars that we keep going won't have as much an impact on the environment because people who chose to swap in an electric car _will get the choice to swap in an electric car._ We have _more_ options with the advent of the EV instead of less-- look at BMW essentially making their EVs a straight-out conversion of their gas models. And don't go thinking that EVs will make us forget how to make gasoline-- we were using gasoline as a solvent before creating an engine that burns the stuff as fuel.

If Toyota is going to bring a car back, make it the MR2. Put the Corolla GR Engine in the rear with a small hybrid drive in the front and call at the MR4.

If the Celica comes, it should be made with mods in mind. The Celica has always been a fun car to rally out and tune. If it comes out as a hybrid, it should at least be made to have those components either easy to remove or upgrade/modify. Also, I want the same Nikes that Jimmy's wearing for the Leno interview.

Jay makes a good point about brand loyalty kind of being dead and people not having issues paying top dollar for less superior names. You may have noticed how 20 year old Toyota sky rocketing in price due to the public coming around to the idea of a reliable car. It's wild seeing high landers with 250k miles on them sell for 20k.

Supposedly, Emilia Hartford is getting together some investors to buy Willow. I live in Vegas. SMMR in Pahrump has become a country club and is kind of expensive to rent. Don't wanna see another one of those. I think if Emilia buys it, she'll do some upgrades but will keep it pretty much the same.

I had a very long winded hilariously worded essay on why u should hire Ryan D Adams but KZfaq seems to keep deleting it. Oh well. I do find it strange that Mr Jay Leno doesn't see the parallel between our generation and radwood and his generation and back to the 50s events. Nostalgic boomerers in the 80s wanted to relive their childhood. Just like we want to relive the 80s and 90s.(mabey not me specifically) Instead of collecting stamps and toy trains and building a bel air... We collect retro video games and biker mice from Mars figures and build eagle talon awd turbo's. Same thing.
