I’ve visited many Ferrari dealerships, all over the country. Wynn’s dealership was the ONLY one that demanded a ‘cover charge’ to set-foot inside the dealership. You could skip the cover-charge if you could provide the dealership ‘proof of ownership’ before your visit. I had a car at the time, but I wasn’t going to give Wynn-the-toolbag any of my time. He didn’t hate the car, but he’s somebody who doesn’t love cars so definitely couldn’t resist taking the profit. If Ferrari has to get people to sign an agreement to not sell their cars before they’re two years old that means the scarcity is artificial and that’s how they are creating it. All businesses make and sell as many widgets as they comfortably can, though for all goods and services in all unmanipulated markets buyers (not sellers) set prices. The buyer will offer a higher price if he perceives scarcity so that’s why Ferrari wants to make it look like there are more buyers then Ferraris…but how stupid would Ferrari be to not see to it that there are at least as many (plus more) Ferraris as buyers, duh lol. Putting it in a casino and charging cover is having his cake and eating it. And it’s more for his ego than particularly advantageous for Ferrari. I know there are people who will buy a Ferrari with a big win, and it probably does make sense to have a satellite dealership location next to the high limit room with a few new Ferraris that kind of customer might impulsively buy, because If there really was a Ferrari shortage the customer who’d be interested and could afford to gamble that big would already be in line/ready to order and give a deposit for his next one at another dealership. Ferrari shortage LMFAO yeah right there’s barely any actual automobile shortage even during a pandemic as production was halted specifically anticipating tanked demand.

Would I have made more money his way? Sure, but I'd also be just another generic place overcharging and under delivering and I'd have been miserable and would have to give up my control of doing what I want (Truly as opposed to whatever I want inside someone elses limits) and so I thanked them and walked away. I forget who it was, but I recently watched a video made by Chuck Norris' granddaughter, (I think she's some fairly small time KZfaqr and made a video only after people found out and started asking her about it,) and she's just like, "yeah growing up it's not like being related to Chuck Norris meant anything... it was cool when we went to his like, million acre ranch for vacation, but other than that I just knew him as an older family member." Like him being famous had no impact on her life whatsoever, until people independently found out and started asking her about it.

My story does not compare with the likes of Ferrari and such, but in 2012 I bought one of the first Mazda CX5. Drove it for a couple of years and when the new Mazda3 came out in 2014 I sold the CX5 privately and went to my Mazda guy to buy the 3. He asked me about the CX5 and when I told him I sold it he had a look of disbelief on his face, almost like betrayal. And I recall telling him, relax it's only a car and he told me that I should've brought it in and the dealer would have bought it from me. I said "riiiight"!

Though I liked the story: By the time WYNN Las Vegas opened he had lost the Mirage Resorts Corporation and TI to MGM in a hostile buyout and this included the Shadow Creek Golf course, all to MGM. Steve Wynn , Marc Shore and Bobby Baldwin all lived at Shadow Creek, they ALL had to move out. There were security guards there but they did NOT openly carry AR-15’s, this was a very high security area but low key security system as high rollers and guests of the casinos were allowed to play golf there as well as corporate level employees could have lunch there, yep.His timeframe is seriously off, this could not have happened. As to meeting him at the Mirage in his office while Steve Wynn had already opened the WYNN casino, this is years after he was bought out, he did not meet him in his office at the Mirage, it was not his office then and had not been for years. By the way I worked for Mirage Corporation when the MGM bought out Mirage Corp and know all these area’s. Don’t believe what you hear, don’t, don’t believe me either, look it up yourself, it’s easy to check. Good story though, to bad most of it is wrong. As to the car parts of this story, I don’t know, I do know that Bobby Baldwin drove a Ferrari as his everyday driver, as to the rest who knows, could have happened.

When we got off the plane there was a Rolls Royce with a driver that took us to a Wynn Property that was a Mansion that had arm guards at the gate. The week we were there we did not pay for anything and had access to what ever we wanted to do.

Was it the black guy? His personal butler used to order food for him from the Cafe at Wynn every morning. I used to make Mr. Wynns oatmeal 2 or 3 days a week.

He says “you gotta respect a guy like that”. I’m over here like no you don’t. I don’t care who you are or how much money you have you want respect you need to give it. I would rather live at the bottom than bow to the top and live in the middle.

I remember I was in Vegas for a wedding when the La Ferrari came out, maybe 6 months after. So I walk to the dealership. They let U in. However they charge U for going in deeper. I have been to the Ferrari dealership in Troy, Michigan many times. Never been charged. It's Vegas I understand. Before leaving I asked the knowledgeable woman working there. Do you have the mild hybrid Ferrari here by chance. She laughed in my face. She wouldn't S___ from Shinola. I laughed when they pulled the dealership from Wynn !!!

I worked in the car dealerships in the 80's Porsche, Audi, Jag. A customer came in for service with a new car, He replaced the nice leather seats with plastic in a black and white checkerboard pattern. In the boot was a cardboard box containing a suit exactly matching the seat print. And a machine gun. Everybody has their own thing I guess.

I can understand wanting some camouflage in the line of work the machine gun implies, but I think in his place I'd have had the suit made to match the factory seats instead.
