By The Dillards. We present to you a very overdue meeting with our kindred spirits Reina Del Cid and Toni Lindgren. They were stopping through NYC on tour, and we got to hang out for the afternoon and record some tunes. We had a blast doing this, and give huge thanks to Reina and Toni for suggesting the tune and making time to record it.

From the looks of their fingers, they recorded the music audio beforehand then did the video. But the point still stands…bluegrass should be as natural as humanly possible, for sure

I didn't know any of these people existed a week ago when I heard Josh Turner singing a song. Since then, I've spent an insane amount of time going back and forth from each of their channels on KZfaq hours at a time. It has been time well spent.

Same here, as of June 12, 2020. 5 days ago I had never heard of these people and now I keep watching their videos. I actually applauded at home by myself at the end of this one! 😄 I see they've been touring the world too. It's amazing to see such talented young minds, always with a positive attitude and a smile, such a great taste in music... Inspiring. It makes me feel optimistic about mankind again, and that's a great achievement.

I think I’ve watched this at least 100 times. I’m always amazed by all the talent, but Toni’s bluegrass picking makes my heart sing every time…. And yeah, I’m gonna watch it again.

I learned this song 50 years ago in Vietnam, from my good friend Mac. Still play the song ... Mac's not with us any more.... but I still smile and recall those times we played it ...every time I hear it. This one "Hannah Lee" and "Gonna Go Down The River" were songs we played often. Thank y'all for a grand memory....

Haven't heard this song since I was about 8, and it was to the point where I was sure it was a memory I had made up. Brings me right back to my childhood in North Carolina.

Ok, I'm old - I remember the Dillards playing this on The Andy Griffith Show. This rendetion is simply superb! Excellent vocals, love the banjo work. Thanks so much for the rekindling a treasured memory. Excellent!

WOW, again! Y'all just keep sweetening up the airwaves. Josh tearing up the banjo, Reina working that Guild for all it's worth, Carson blending in the mandolin and Toni making the Martin sing, as only a Martin can [gotta be good to make it do so]. I don't know about anybody else, but I find Carson simply adorable. I love his facial expressions in particular. I usually find myself concentrating on him upon first watch, and then I have to watch the video other times to watch everyone else. But alas, I keep coming back to Carson every time.

I'm impressed with the old-skool way that you move the instrument closer to the mic for the solo, instead of close-micing everything, but wow that banjo must be loud!

This was on the Andy Griffith show with the Darling family that pops into the show every so often. They were played by the Dillards. Love t his tune and the spirit behind it.

I am a fan of bluegrass music and I feel really good about the future of bluegrass when it's the hands of young people like you. Bluegrass music has really deteriorated in past years because of no talent singers who think that all you have to do is to pick a banjo and other instruments, and sing like you're from Southern Appalachia, you're a bluegrass singer or band.

I love to listen to you guys/gals, but I love to watch you even more. I've only seen about six of your videos so far, and it's great to see young people with such great talent just having fun. Man, I haven't heard that song since the Andy Griffith show went off the air! I'm a huge fan of good old blue grass and folk music, but I love my rock and roll too. You guys were just absolutely blindingly awesome! And I'll say this as well: It is SO GOOD to see young folks just having fun and playing music instead forming stupid gangs and getting into trouble! You four are headed for the big time, but you're already there in my opinion! Keep it up. I could listen to y'all all day and never get tired of it. Just awesome.
