Oh wow that softlock. Alas I have no proof but I was sure this was resolved during some period of the beta testing because those walls not lowering from the other side is a major co-op problem too. Sorry about that because that is an obvious way to become softlock and should have been removed prior to the final release.

Heh, no need to be sorry. I don't really mind softlocks like this if they're completely preventable by not having a skill issue :D Great map!

@@Vytaan Glad you enjoyed it, this was one of the last maps made for Capybara, oddly it started purely as an exercise with using some of the lesser used textures in the pack Nefelibeta compiled (And as mentioned I was in a bit of a brutalist phase of mapping motif), I wasn't even sure whether the map would have actually ended up in the release until I posted it on the discord thread, but essentially it was well received and made the final cut. I actually like this map a lot, despite some of the flaws (The combat is pitched to be more on the fun side than soul crushing and it works well as a bit of a breather because once you jump into that hole at the end, there are no more maps that will play nice). PS we all live for those moments like that imp in the final fight, what a guy....

The visuals of this wad are so distinctive and beautiful. If there's anything that Doom taught me about colors, it's that magenta, teal and cyan spell big trouble 😅

4:50 That was an unfortunate softlock. I don't know if you rebound the defaults, but you should be able to hit Home to restart the map. I've used it way too many times during livestreams. 😅 28:48 LOL, I clapped out loud for that imp. Hehe! Totally thought you said “wet yourself” at 23:33 Lolol. Gotta clean my ears out. :p lovely map, this one. Lots of cheeky fights but they never feel unfair; Cannonball did a great job of balancing stuff. That softlock though! I thought, ahh he’s gonna find some way to get back in. Alas no! :D

Lol this Archie Jump was sad does you got softlock, but in my opinion when you idclip when this happen i have no problem with it. Not your fault when the Archie kidding you :) Hahaha the Killer Imp at the End is really hilarious xD

Finished watching. Other than the softlocking incident, this is standard Cannonball fare - that is, good fare. Architecturally this one is _eerily_ close to another map of his, Research Complex from Solar Struggle, just with different color palettes. I'm wondering if he made both maps within the same time period 🤔

They were funnily enough. There are also two brutalist maps in Deadly Standards E4 that were mine too. I guess I was going through a phase….

@@cannonball1990 I knew it! When we enter one of those "phases", it's hard to shake them off. Although visuals is where the similarities end, since both maps play very differently.

If I'm softlocked like that, I just noclip back to the intended play area. I don't care for losing progress because of the developer's oversights.

If it was late in the run: maybe, or if it was a blind run: always. But for these practiced series specifically I want to try and get as many single-segment victories as possible, so I feel better simply restarting 😄
