By now, you probably know I love Doom. It is definitely high up on my favourite games of all time list.
And yep, I’ve played a fair few mods for Doom, and thanks to recommendations mostly from you awesome people, I have yet another video of mods for Doom that are based on other video games.

The backrooms is supposed to be where you end up if you "glitch" out of real life. This is what reality looks like when you clip out of the "world" map sort of thing. The scary part is that there is no exit and it goes on forever.

Backrooms and liminal horror is a pretty good new horror trope. Looking and roaming is unnerving because your imagination is making up the absolute worst in your own head on what is "watching" you and filling in the blanks. Then you see some dumbass spaghetti monster, taking revenge for all the cables you mixed in a pile at one point and maybe feel scared at first but then laugh.

Even thought it's early in the cycle, I'm incredibly impressed with Sonic Lock & Load already, it just feels so damn good.

I recognise that plasma rifle(?) weapon sprite (the one that occasionally is held upright) used in the Star Wars wad. Its also used in an old Aliens mod (not the most popular Aliens TC but another one which only replaced Episode 2) both as the Pulse Rifle / Chaingun and as a Rocket Launcher replacement (held upright). Am unsure which it originated from but def the same sprites.

backrooms isnt based on a game its based on a horror concept. still a cool mod though

I've played Doom only a couple times but it was Zero Tolerance on the Mega Drive that i played alot. My SCX has many different versions of Doom including hacks and translations. I'm motivated to give them a try now thanks to the video. Thanks bros, your on a roll in giving me ideas for different games to play. Keep up the good work.

Speaking about Sonic Doom mod. The best of all of them is by far a Sonic Robo Blast 2. I don't know if you don't video on it or not, so I decided to mention it anyway.

There's a whole another, much better Backrooms Doom custom level than the one you showed. Honestly that one was pretty pathetic. Check the other one out, it's called The Complex, on the ZDoom forums.
