My goal is to thoroughly test this bike before I give my full Honda Transalp 750 Review and that includes taking it to places that I probably shouldn't...like up into the mountains in search of the snow line. The good news is we made it to the snow and the Honda Transalp XL750 was amazing the whole way. I absolutely LOVE riding this thing, whether it's in the mud, on gravel, on the street, or even in the snow.
Adventure bike snow riding isn't the smartest idea, especially when I was alone on the Transalp 750, but we went up as far as we safely could before executing the world's most awkward kickstand turn to get the XL750 Transalp pointed safely down the hill.
My New Dunlop Trailmax Raid tires did well in the gravel and the mud, but weren't so awesome in the snow (not that they're designed to be).
Look for the full 2024 Honda Transalp 750 review coming very soon!

I got my first ADV Motorcycle in April and then this bad boy comes out and it would have been the bike I bought instead. I’m tempted to trade my KTM in for the Transalp! 😂 @Dorkintheroad I really appreciate your content and your commentary. It’s nice to watch someone just as silly as myself. So thank you Also, I was born and raised in Oregon city Oregon. I moved to Las Vegas 10 years ago for work, but my father always took me up to Goat mountain and up the Clackamas river my whole life, so watching you explore your trails and area is a nice reminder of my happy childhood days. It really brings me a lot of joy to be able to go on adventures. I know if I still lived in Oregon I’d be the dork in the road 😂😂😂 Thank you again for your hard work, videos and reviews

Good idea to turn around before the snow got deeper. A fall injury in a cold, remote place could be bad. Never want to push it because you have phone or InReach "backup." Such protection only works when it works and when rescue can find you.

Another great viddy, Ben! Thanks. My Transalp is in the garage with 20 miles on it. No bash plate or crash bars yet, but splurged on oem heated grips. I need dry pavement to scrub in the tires before I ride in the rain. So far, I love it! A worthy upgrade to the 2012 F650gs twin.

@@DorkintheRoad Oxford’s should work as well as OEM, and not nearly as expensive (I had them install them, and the 12v on the dash). But I wanted to keep more bar real estate open, and the fn button to control is nice. Shopping for bash plate and upper crash bars now.

I really do like the transalp but I can't wait for you to discover the joy of replacing the air filter!.. I just dropped off my 2020 Goldwing Tour DCT for service ( including the air filter change , which alone they charge 4 hours for labor! ) I can only imagine how much dirt and dust you will get riding in your environments and conditions! You MAY change your opinions of this bike, it's truely a pain in the ass to change!

So, I have an Africa Twin Adventure sports....The only complaint I have....is the damned tank! I wish there was a way to move the pegs back a little to change the standing position, but the seated position is so comfortable that I would hate to mess that up. Sad to hear the same issue on the Transalp. Nice ride. Might have to try snow some day.

I road NC105 and only found out it was ice after I down shifted and the rpms stayed the same. Like the saying goes, “If there’s ever a time your bike will hit the ground, it’ll be when you have an audience”, sure enough I dropped the Scrambler walking it downhill past some hikers. It was my only drop that day, however. After you ride the slick stuff, do you feel like you have gobs of traction on paved surfaces? Certainly boost my confidence on tarmac.
