Double Munch Squad - MBMBaM Animation

Hi all!
It's a new MBMBaM animation! (animatic?)
I decided to animate this one a bit more like a storyboard to give myself more freedom with interesting poses and camera angles etc.
Ultimately, I thought doing it in this style would make the whole process a bit quicker, but I ended up spending 3 days just on that one shot in the middle, which I'm so happy with the result!
This has always been my favourite clip of MBMBaM and for some reason it's only just occurred to me that I can animate it. I think the concept I had in mind for this bit was too intimidating before now!
I really hope you like this one and hope you'll stick around for the next one!

I love thinking about the venue staff, many of whom have never listened to MBMBAM, and trying to guess their reaction to an auditorium full of people screaming "SQUAD" in response to some guy making guitar noises with his mouth.

I really REALLY love how Justin never defended himself when Griffin accused him of being passed out and not doing his work for the show and just HELD that for when he got his turn. Truly some good brother stuff.

Like... the fake guitar was crisp, but Griffin didn't quite make the high note, which Justin later sliced through cleanly. The message was clear "You can't put me out on the ice floe yet, youngling, your head voice is weak."

The best part of this is Griffin thinks he's helping Justin out by taking on Munch Squad duty, but in reality Justin is being magnanimous and letting his little brother feel that Munch Squad surge.

Can I just say that good lord, I mean my god! Both Griffin and Travis glasses are HUGEEEEE! Imagine going to a eyecare service to buy a pair of prescription glasses, and all of them are like the size of your own head. Honestly that sounds a great gag gift, oversized giant glasses. Eh, that's tricky... I'd say - and I mean this in the best possible way - they do the most with the least. They have a very clean, simplistic style, but every motion and expression has a purpose and stands out.

DBI, I gotta say. I've been following your content for a year or so, primarily through McElroy and Drawfee animations, and it is CRAZY how much you've improved since this animation. It's not bad by any means, but the quality between this, and some of the more recent ones, is very stark. Congratulations.
