My man, Doug Kershaw tearing up that stage, I just love him!! He is fantastic here, and he’s definitely a Ragin Cajun!❤❤ He rips that File Gumbo up, loved Kershaw since I was 15, saw him 1st on American Bandstand in 1970, huge fan ever since. I love his fiddling, he’s probably my favorite fiddle player of all time, I played violin, as a child and later took fiddle lessons, because of Doug Kershaw.

I remember my mother, Floraine Antoinette Leaman Alba, would rock me to bed with the encouraging Cajun words "Fe do do, Lawrence..mon chere." Those were the best times of my life in Monroe, Louisiana c. 1949. Now, at 70 and a lifetime if education, world traveling and much expunged Cajun heritage, I take comfort in this vibrant, rich original American music and it's magical linguistic resilience. Etois!

Saw this guy--- and even got to learn from him!--- this summer at a fiddle camp. At age 70, he's still just as crazy as he ever was, and so inspiring to watch. Couldn't help but burst out laughing from joy and move my feet. My dad's been a professional fiddle player for 30+ years and still had to work to keep up in Kershaw's classes. So much talent!
