This is the earliest known video of Doug Stanhope's stand up act at Carlos Murphy's Bar and Grille on Marlyland Parkway in Las Vegas, NV. This is within a year of Doug's first stand up performance.

We were raised to roll with the punches and if we even suggested that we needed a 'safe space' we'd likely have gotten punched in the face. Unfortunately, most of my then 20 something peers are 40 something fascists today in countering the hypersensitivity of modern authoritarian youth.

doug rants on a podcast how much he hates the fact this exists on KZfaq. so well done for posting
@AModernDrunkard694208 жыл бұрын
+Robert Creighton I can see why he would hate it but I honestly think it was pretty good, especially if this was really during the 1st year of his career. I genuinely laughed out loud quite a few times and enjoyed it. It was a cool glimpse into the beginnings of one of my favorite comedians. You wouldn't happen to remember what podcast his rant was on would you? That sounds like it would be an interesting topic to listen to him talk about. Cheers
