The Dutch just don't exagerate as much as Americans. They are just so fake, have to laugh over-the-top loud and have to clap all the time. It's much more pleasant to watch this way. Believe me, the show is being enjoyed and we are not shy at all.

Doug is the last of dying breed of comics.. I haven't found any comic that comes close that's still around. -George Carlin -Patrice O'Neal -Doug Stanhope The only one close now is Bill Burr.. I enjoy Louis CK, but he's not near the level of Doug far as content goes.

Doug is the only comedian I can watch again and again and never get bored. So many comics are either too politically correct or try not to be, but very few can pull it off. I’ve been lucky enough to see him live in London2018, but can’t find that performance anywhere. He was hilarious. Shame it wasn’t recorded

Ice cold crowd, but eventually he made them a tiny bit silly. Thing with Doug, he just keeps it rollin. people can be talking in the crowd, works better than the "all-ears" crowd with his steamroller style.

That's not the way the crowds looked in Amsterdam when I was there. There are a few of those people but it's not a very homogeneous population. I saw alot of Italians, Arabs, Russians etc.

I just saw Doug last Spring, he's still as edgy as ever. He did a bit I'll call "Are incestuous pedophiles playing the long-game when they get their wives pregnant?" which made you question your viability as a human while laughing your ass off. Which is the kind of thing that makes Doug so unique and worth every minute.

Doug is the last man standing as far as "philosophy meets stand-up comedy". I watch him for the drunken/spoken word aspect, rarely laugh out loud, and enjoy him more than I enjoyed Carlin or Bill Hicks. Hopefully, his drinking won't kill him (I drink a lot, but not near as much-he's only a year younger, too). I'd like to be able to enjoy his human activism for a long time.
