Watch a WSOP main event that was on ESPN 2004-2010 and then watch the main event last year. That is why poker is not drawing in new younger players. GTO/Solvers/Tanking every hand is what is putting off your average person wanting to get into poker. It has gone from fun, entertaining and appealing like a Super Bowl to watching a chess tournament. Watch Doyle play and then watch Christoph Voglesang play .. that sums it up. It has gone from a social game to a math problem.

If we get poker back in Texas and California we'll see poker TV shows again because the sites will want to advertise. Then the problem of recruiting players is solved, people can watch it on TV and get interested. Big thing there is they need to televise cash games. Those final table shows are hard to learn from.

what people don't realize about the 50-1 weight loss bet is they have to come WITHIN ONE POUND of each other on weigh day. This is so fucking difficult. your weight literally fluctuates 2-3 pounds within a single day. Just weight yourself in the morning and then at night. So two people have to make sure they are within one pound of each other within a single day. That will be the hardest part of the whole bet. 50-1 is still waaaaaaaaaaaay too much.

Doug huge fan brotha but when you do these interviews try and minimize your involvent or opinion in all the subjects lol legit every time a guest says something for some reason you feel the need to give your long winded opinion on it lol let the guest talk then ask follow up questions. it's like you're only doing these so you can talk for yourself lol otherwise great work as always buddy!

@redzwestisbest6 жыл бұрын
there are liberal and conservative libertarians.
@tolkien116 жыл бұрын
That was what i was thinking lol
@elijahpickens6 жыл бұрын
He's probably referring to left libertarians (aka people who want all companies to be owned by the workers themselves).
@danielthewhalenegreanu60556 жыл бұрын
No such thing as left libertarian. Libertarianism is characterized by freedom. A company cannot be solely 'owned by the workers' without some sort of government intervention in the market, because in a free market a hierarchical structure will form just like in any other part of life. Libertarians are by definition right wing.

Universal basic income is the only way possible to handle the changes automation will have
@mdd19636 жыл бұрын
The only people who like it are the unskilled; they obviously love the idea...; we call them the FSPFSE crowd (Free SHit Paid For From Someone Else
@momsaid6 жыл бұрын
Yeah but when 80% of jobs are automated and not replaced whats your solution? I doubt you're more than a moron dude. I would almost guarantee I have a more diverse spread of income sources. No one who talks like you ever has anything valuable to add to the conversation. What skills do you have?
@mdd19636 жыл бұрын
I work on fairly advanced avionics systems, repairing them, testing them, replacing, installing, troubleshooting them. (Do you find yourself offended by someone referring to a crowd of people as FSPFSEs? Clearly, you prefer the idea, as to opposed to learning some actual skills that might get you a job. You could always take up Texas Hold 'Em....; the world needs fish!
@momsaid6 жыл бұрын
mdd1963 I'm not offended. Just no one without an incredibly narrow and closed world view talks like that. The group you mention does not exist I make a decent amount on investing and speculating, along with my full time job. I don't need new skills. I did play poker professionally for two years so thanks. Like I said I have a solid income spread

Lol, I love how people come on here and claim poker is a zero sum game. I can actually prove to you with logic it is not, yet if you have this myopic mindset(as Perkins says) are you actually going to use an active and ruthless reasoning system to understand you are completely wrong? I could just as simply say: Literature is a zero sum game, people in government sectors perform jobs that are zero sum jobs or those that hold signs on the sides of road to allow traffic are zero sum actions. Yet, I am sure many would decree these statements are ludicrous. So let me pose this hypothetical to anyone, if a prosecutor successfully convicts someone who - for the sake of the argument committed the crime- and the judge sanctions the conviction, then the man will go to jail/prison, yes? The prosecutor earns a paycheck from the public through taxes, the judge the same, the public defender the same. The man will lose any future income from the time he is incarcerated, as will his family, provided he has one. The public will now pay on average 30k per year to support this incarcerated person. In poker, a person can make a deposit online or buy in to a cash game/mtt/sng in person at a casino. Either way, the person's deposit will be taxed. If a person buys BTC online, then mining fees will be taken, coinbase (if used) is grown and possibly employ future persons, casino sites are gaining profit from each deposit and will gain future rake from each registration from the player into tournaments or rake from cash games. Also, a person may gain winnings. A person may provide for a family. A person may reinvest future winnings and start a KZfaq channel and gain an online following, invigorating the future of poker and opening endless possibilities to world of poker. It is easy to question poker and because of limiting beliefs say it is zero-sum and to not look into cause and effect. But people never question a judge's profession. Everything that happens in life is not zero-sum. From the time I took to type this, I lost 20 mins while I could've focused more and accomplished more on other things.
