HW heads down to beautiful Bowral nestled in the Southern Highlands of NSW. Bowral is a short 1 & half hour drive from Sydney. Come for a walk around the various businesses and places transforming into the Regency period of British history. Colourful floral arrangements and decorations all over town. HW visits cafes, antique shops, historical houses, bakeries and sweet shops.

What a cute lil town. The bike with flowers is so typical Dutch. We love riding bikes and I mean we are known for our flowers . Everything in that patisserie and candy store looks very yummie . I once again enjoyed your vid.

Very nice walk, loved looking at the shops & cafes. Bowral looks a nice place. Bridgerton must have been very popular in Australia, the Press Shop made a big effort & the coffee looked good too.

Hi HW Thank you for a wonderful video. Love the shops with the antiques and the vinyls (records) I do love my records! The antique shed was similar to a scene in Bless this house film, where Sid James wife was renting a stall inside. It was nice to see a slower pace of life in Australia. Enjoy the rest of the weekend 🙏🇦🇺🍰

I found a copy of Bless this house, the complete series in CEX, fairly priced. HMV are putting classic films and series on Dvd.

Gumnut is well worth trip. Believe me I live in Bowral and their pies and cakes are renowned. Their saying is “ life is short, eat dessert first “

The only thing i heard about Bowral that ive heard for years that theyre most famous for is Tulip 🌷 time in September and Early October! Here in Canada 🇨🇦 they have a festival in May for our Tulips 🌷!

You’re right there is a tulip festival each year. For most Australians Bowral is the town our most famous cricket player Don Bradman grew up. A cricket ground and museum sits there in his honour. The other thing it’s known for is holding holiday houses for Sydney’s wealthy.
