@@hwtours I worked on Barangaroo remediation as well as Sydney Metro C&SW hence I was particularly interested as to whether there had been new instances of bubbles! By the way: Sydenham used to actually be called Marrickville station when the Illawarra line first opened before the Bankstown branch had been built. When the Bankstown line was built a few years later and they built a station in Marrickville, Sydenham got renamed accordingly so that the new station could take the name.

Hi HW. The most impressive stations would be Victoria Cross with the largest station cavern (although I can't comment on the smell), and Martin Place. I don't know if you noticed, but the Metro platforms at Martin Place are 3 and 4. You can go directly to platforms 1 and 2 without having to tap off and on again. Martin Place will have even more pedestrian connectivity when Hunter St metro station opens. The Opal Gate concourse at Barangaroo also has provision (behind that wall on the left) to connect to whatever developments end up being built at Barangaroo North. Those odd buildings next to the road/cliff at Barangaroo house various services associated with the Metro station. Sorry I have been absent. You could say I have been checking out the Public Hospital System from the inside. No complaints. Even the food was better than I remember it. Internet connectivity was pretty much nonexistent though, at least in the part of the hospital where I was.

I had a few amusements with our hospital systems, particularly the ED in general. RNSH and NBH (Northern beaches hospital), their waiting room is pretty big, substantial acute beds (around 50 beds for NBH and 30 or so? beds in RNSH) and probs around 5-10 resus rooms for both. I will say fast track is pretty flawed at NBH, as if you don't need a bed there, your often in the waiting room for hours on end. But at RNSH they used a room (probs an ex-acute room, so they have like 30 or so recliners with random guest chairs in fast track). So maybe that compensate the less acute beds for more comfort for others that don't require a bed. But also ended up in st vinnies, their waiting room was bloody tiny (but was told to wait in a tent due to fever just after lockdown and red zone after that). Heard that st vinnies have only 3 resus beds despite them copping an city and eastern suburbs load of trauma, which make northern sydney small in comparison. RPA is pretty much same story as st vinnies (i wasn't the patron by my friend was there and me being the supporter there). Its actually pretty laughable how the northern sydney ED is massive compared to the city counterpart despite city having heaps of people.

@@Gary-vv5gt I caught one of those nasty viruses going around. Though I'd be OK, but was only improving slowly. Then caught another one on top of it. I was in ED for a few hours and then they sent me to ICU, where I was for 10 days. I should have been moved to a ward after about a week, but they didn't have any vacancies. Apparently I should have been ordering more food. That would have made them happier. I didn't know that was a thing I could do until the last couple of days. Nobody told me I could do that. I can't comment on the waiting room or wards, as I didn't see them. I would hope Northern Beaches has good facilities, being a fairly new hospital.

That is a wonderful video, HW. I really enjoyed it, particularly from the bike rider's perspective. Many familiar places here. It really makes me miss my home town. I pine after Sydney the way one would pine over a woman. That sounds a bit pathetic, I know. I still have your seven videos to catch up on, one a day for 7 days, which you filmed recently. Thanks for this bike riding video....really well filmed.

@@glenemma1 Yeh watched it back myself the other day with nectar in hand. Surprisingly I enjoyed it. I thought it would be too long when I first uploaded it. But it provided plenty to look at. Appreciate you getting through it. Hope you enjoy the 7 day series when you get to it. HW 🙏
