Happy New Year! I hope you guys had a wonderful holiday and I'm happy to be back this week with a new What I Eat in a Day video that has all Whole30 recipes. I know many are doing a #januarywhole30 and while I'm not doing a full Whole30 this month, I'm doing a mini reset. If it's your first time doing a Whole30 let me know below (and check out my website for a Whole30 shopping list, snack guide and more info). If you're a Whole 30 veteran, tell everyone how many times you've done it and what your favorite Whole30 recipe is! Happy 2019 friends! xo - Lisa

Great prep ideas, thanks! Cast iron and stainless steel/all clad are all great for non stick - BUT, you must use it right. Your eggs are sticking because you are moving them before your eggs are developing a ‘fond’. It’s a technique to learn. I use my cast iron and all clad stainless steel for making non stick omelettes. Make sure there is enough oil to cat the bottom of your stainless steel pan, and then pour in your eggs and LEAVE them. For at least 3 minutes on med heat until the bottom shows some brown. Fold over and give another n=minute or two and you are done! Thanks for the excellent video!

I have all clad and use butter to cook my eggs as they stick with eco but not with butter. I never have to use scrub brush!!! After soaking in soap and hot water I just comes off easy. If some pieces left I use a little backing soda. My pans look great.

You can make your steel pans nonstick by seasoning your pans before you use them. There’s a bunch of KZfaq videos on the subject but basically: you oil the pan then put it on medium to high heat until it’s just about to smoke then you take it off-let it cool, then it becomes non-stick. It’s amazing!

Hi Lisa! So I am recuperating from surgery and trying to eat extra healthy as I am hoping to have a complete recovery and not gain too much weight. Although I can’t move much right now and can’t lift more than a few pounds, I thankfully have help at home from my fam. just watched this video and thought this is perfect for dinner. All the ingredients except the cashews are items that I normally have on hand. I just happen to have cashews in my fridge cuz I bought them to make Christmas cookies, lol. I am going to skip the cookies and use them for dinner instead. I am excited to try this recipe because dairy is our weakness, we just eat way too much of it . As always your videos are truly a pleasure to watch, very professional, soothing, and so inspiring.. I feel healthier just watching them. Thank you for sharing, you are the bestest💜

Tip to shine your stainless steel, wet a green Scotch Brite sprinkle one side with Ajax Cleanser, fold and scrub in this configuration, next wipe down with wash cloth in wash water (to remove the residue thoroughly), rinse running water. If you shine the inside this way be very thorough on the residue removal with the wash cloth in wash water (not sponge it will hold the cleanser) and rinse with another wash cloth, towel dry.

Just a tip for stainless steel pans, which I use, to clean them up after eggs or stuck on food. I add water, a smidgen of dish soap and sprinkle about a tablespoon of baking soda and let it sit for a few minutes. Then it's usually very easy to remove. If not easily removed, I use a little Batkeepers Friend to get it clean with a no scratch sponge that has a scrubbing surface on one side.

I love tuna but most of the brands that I used to buy were not really good. I coped with it and thought that was the best I can buy. It wasn't until I watched your video on how to make the best tuna sandwich that I saw the brand Wild Planet. For years I was saying that the tuna that I bought in stores resembled cat food and hated it. When I discovered this new brand (Wild Planet), thanks to your video, it was life changing. Today I'm eating the best tuna salad sandwiches ever. My mouth has a party each time! Thanks for your awesome, well informed and inspiring videos! Best wishes, from Dallas, Tx Lorena. BTW I shared this with all my coworkers in the office.

Please do continue doing the daily menu!!! But also I LOVED being able to see the coast since I’m unable to go. Thank you for so many great ideas. I need to learn how to make my own almond butter seeing we are eating so much more of it in my household. Love the “cashewfredo “ idea!! And cauliflower hummus. I’ve done chick peas olive oil and green olives with spices. Thank you again! Blessings from Ohio

I absolutely love your recipes and style of vlogging. One question my kids and I always have is, WHERE does the food go when you take a huge bite? We never see your cheeks poof out while chewing such big bites. Then you only chew it like 3 times. Digestion starting in the mouth is so important. Chewing long and well is so important to good digestion.

I've been on a moderate Whole 30 for about 5 months now and have lost 25 pounds. I want to lose eight more. This is more of a lifestyle change for me so I'm eating healthier overall. However, I'm at the end of my rope with it. So, thanks for the recipes ideas. This is the beginning of my search for new dishes I can enjoy and continue with the lifestyle change. Thanks again, I love the chicken Alfredo and I can't wait to try it.

Could you upload a video of making your raw mixed berry and vanilla bean cheesecake. It's always easier to see you do it! You make things much easier than reading and trying to figure things out. Also, I would love to see a video of you making almond flour tortillas! Thank you for all that you do. I love your recipes and ideas!! They are so helpful, especially since I am a busy person with a lot of food intolerances! So Thank you

After killing some “non-stick” pans I learned to use a piece of parchment paper on top of my stainless steel. You can wrap your food in it to keep food warmer for few minutes longer :-)

Just a tip on cleaning your pan....you can add a dryer sheet and some water and let it soak. When you are ready you should be able to just rinse the pan clean. The softener in the dryer sheet makes everything that is stuck to the pan just slide out.

I have All-Clad stainless steel pans too! I sometimes cook eggs in my cast iron too. All you need to do to have eggs that don't stick is make sure your pan is plenty hot and well lubricated with butter/ghee, bacon grease, olive or avocado oil, whatever you like to use! I throw my eggs in there and stir them up really quick for scrambled and they cook up so fast and it doesn't stick. Soaking your pans does help, I also like to use scrapers, a baking soda/dish soap mix for tough stuck on grease. I have also heard of people using 0000 steel wool. Never tried it myself though.

Loving your channel! I'm new! I was googling how to make soft-boiled eggs after my dad told me his recipe. Happy to have learned more methods from your video. I was also intrigued by your story of how you took back your health. During the pandemic, I started working out more, taking daily walks, prioritizing self-care, and most important, prioritize whole foods. I had a similar list of symptoms except for fainting. Never was tested for allergies but had the same suspicions as you. I think I have gluten and dairy sensitivity. I know my body and how much might trigger a reaction. Thanks for your recipes as I'm noticing sugar and processed foods are starting to creep back in my diet too. Happy to have had eggs to bring us together lol. Cheers!

I recently upgraded my fried pans from stainless steel to the “easy release induction capable” from Royal Prestige made in Italy. I will still keep using my stainless steel fried pans which are also from Royal Prestige but the easy release line makes every cooking soooo amazingly easy.

I have been working from home and posture is really important for me. Something that has helped me is to put the laptop up on a container/storage bin, up on the table. Then using a wireless keyboard and wireless mouse in front on the table. That way you're not looking downward. Good neck posture is so important. Just a tip from me :)
