I feel you young man. I did 28 years in CIM for murder. Went in a hot head 18 year old thug, came out a graying old man with a strong faith in Christ. I grew up in the institution, its all I know. I don’t fit in with society, but I’m ok with it. The system raised me, I still get up early and do my push-ups, eat my breakfast, clean my room just like I was in my little ol concrete cell. Maintain the current path you are on my young brotha. You are full of youthful ambition, and you have talent. Keep your nose clean and stay off them streets My brotha. please please please stay off them pills. You have family that love you and want to see you do good. I’m an old man working minimum wage as a janitor now, there no options for me, but I accept my fate. I did wrong and I paid the price. You ever need an ear to talk to I would love to listen. Anything I can do to keep you on the straight and narrow I will commit to it 100 percent. Get at me young buck

I was hooked on Xanax and so was pretty much everyone around me, around 2010. Stuff made me do things I’ll never be able to take back. Every charge (4 felonies, 11 misdemeanor), have on my record was under the influence of that stuff. Along side other addictions, heroin, other pills etc.. Long story short I kept violating my felony probation and got sentenced to 2 years in state prison at 17 years old… Im off papers as of last year for the first time since I was 17, and just celebrated 3 years of sobriety. I’m 28 now. Keep going my boy. Life gets so much better… Super relatable video.

Xanax had a crazy way of turning you into somebody you're not..or just removing all inhibitions. 2007-2010 was definitely a crazy era for me on them. Lost some good friends over shit I did under their influence and would steal in whatever store I went into. All my family would take roxies and I'd just get their xannies to sell/take. from a fellow felon, THANK YOU for having the courage and strength to speak on these type of things. I still hold back from talking about mine most of the time. Seeing all these positive comments helps put my mind at ease, hoping our future criminal justice system improves. Also, FUCK Texas for those weed laws man!!! 😒

Watching this video and being able to see how painful it is for you to tell everyone your story makes me think that you are a completely different man than the one you were before your sentence. I hope that you can walk the world as a free man and start over.

Yo Xanax has caused me more trouble than any other substance in this life.. every horrible decision I ever made, I can go back to the Xanax that made that thought pattern possible.. nothing can bring someone lower imo, save maybe heroin.. and they're given out like candy around the country. Its absurd. But God forbid smoking a joint in half the country. I feel your story, it resonates. I did some dumb shit too, and my brother was a local deputy. I was idiotic. I deserved the jail time. Without a doubt. Have a good one my dude. Be well, best of luck and fortune moving forward.

i’m proud of you young man. there’s literally nothing positive you can take away from going to prison aside from realizing you shouldn’t commit the crime. dont let these delinquents tell you that going to prison makes you a man. it makes you an idiot and statistic.

I appreciate you sharing your story and hope it can help someone to realize this isn’t the way... my nephew just caught a trafficking charge in OK and the minimum sentence is 4 to 10, he’s never served hard time and I wish he would have had someone like you to tell him it isn’t worth it before he decided to do what he did.

From personal experience. Everyone tried to tell me it wasnt worth it, they tried to tell me a million times. But i had to learn the hardway. Some of us do, and some of us dont.

This hits me hard! I was raised in H-Town, Aldine Westfield area. I was a juvie then, but I had Xanies, loratabs, and vics on me and in my friends vehicle, but I took my own rap, that's why I connected to your videos quick! Glad you're doing better my man. In H-Town EVERYTHING IS SLOWED DOWN. Keep up that optimism my man!
