This is from an unknown source, I believe it may have been his newsletter or a dreamer asking him in person (I've seen a few videos of him talking to fans about the EP) “This song portrays the fading playfulness of our youth, as we embark on a bittersweet journey into adulthood. The once sweet jelly turning into briny tears." With this quote in mind, "MY TOOTH'S BEEN WIGGLING FOR YEARS" - Teeth wiggling and falling out is often a sign of aging (Ii.e. a child is growing out their baby teeth and their adult teeth are coming in, or an elder is losing their adult teeth)

“PEANUT BUTTER” -Is thick -Can be overwhelming -Can overpower flavors if too much is used -Peanuts represent stability, balance - perhaps in changing the chemical makeup of it (making it butter), the -composition becomes unstable -IS BROWN - could represent death

BUTTERFLIES -Butterflies start as caterpillars, perhaps they show the transformation from youth into adulthood? -They symbolize transformation

COLORS -Green (the bomb is green, the sky, the lights coming from his eyes, the field he’s in, his pants, the man in the suit), - symbolizes rebirth, renewal -Purple (the butterflies, the lighting) -symbolizes Creativity, magic, transformation, mystery -Pink (his friends wear pink masks, the grass eventually turns pink - symbolizes friendship, affection, compassion, youth, playfulness -Orange (the furniture and walls around him are this color) -symbolizes optimism, energy, danger, color of prison uniforms, warning -Brown -Because brown is the color of the earth, it is often used to symbolize nature, autumn, melancholy, or death.

MY GUESSES (for now) -I think the peanut butter represents his death aka becoming an adult and letting go of who he once was, both as a child and someone unaware of bipolar symptoms (growing up, bipolar disorder begins to show in late teens) - hence the tears from others ("your tears") - “never been so better.” He’s rebirthing into Mr.Insanity (the green coming from his eyes & the green BOMB at the beginning which kills). - Butterflies (some purple) appear a lot - he’s transforming (into mr. Insanity) who could also seem mysterious to himself, or to other people (I get told I’m just a stranger) - Most of the people around him wear pink - he’s making new friends (I get so friendly with strangers), loving a lot (“I’ve returned as your lost lover”), and being playful (“soaked in glitter… danced away my feathers”) - Mr insanity has a lot of ORANGE around him (the walls, furniture, ) in a few scenes all the walls are painted orange, possibly a warning color, danger - “I hardly do as I am told, I feel the magic in those times” - thrilling to do what he wants and not listen, but could lead to dangerous behavior/decisions. - But orange could also represent him feeling trapped in this cycle [think prison uniforms] (“I can’t control all of my fears”). - Being unable to control his fears makes sense as someone discovering their bipolar symptoms and navigating hypomania. It almost feels like he has no control as Mr. Insanity, which would make sense in the early stages of discovering symptoms

I actually saw somewhere that he said this song is about the bittersweetness of letting go of childhood and becoming an adult. MITO is his highest manic state where he completely blacks out and loses total control. I believe Mr.Insanity is a hypomanic state. He's mentioned that he experiences multiple levels of mania, and also that he doesn't necessarily experience depression (or that it doesn't feel like that to him). Since this is Mr.Insanity's origin story, I think this is before MITO. He's mentioned MITO has only completely taken over 3 or so times, so I think Mr.Insanity has been more present and probably the introduction into recognizing his symptoms of bipolar. The green screen guy mention is cool and something I hadn't thought about! I've been researching the symbolism of colors, insects, and other things he's mentioned in interviews to decode other messages in the video if you're curious about what I've found!

@@jsts8056 I feel like Ian is also playing with the concept of time! He said that this ep is like a side questo to the "main" lore of MITO, in which Mr. Insanity is absent for the majority of time. It's really interesting if you try to create a sort o timeline where you put all the mvs together to create a single big story. I've read somewhere that the mv for no blueberries represents the future in a sort of way, so I guess that with PB&T we go back in time and overlap different moments at the same way (or this is what I managed to put together after reading some theories)!

@@nicolevesentini8188 I saw him mentioning that there would be multiple side quests, kinda like a mito-verse where the side characters get their time to shine. its going to be so fun putting the mv's in chronological order once all the albums come out. From things he's mentioned it sounds like al the storylines are already mapped out
