It would really be interesting to see a video on DPRK's Olympic program, or its professional sporting world.

Loved the video! Could we potentially see a video on shops in North Korea, whether that be local stores or supermarkets. I'm rather interested to see how the state runs them and how much food costs on average. Love the videos man they are great, I watched the premiere but I wasn't logged in to leave a comment.

@@jonnieinbangkok Actually they do. Pyongyang has a number of department stores, many smaller cities have smaller stores, and small villages have markets.

I know you already touched on it in your prior videos, but I’d be interested to have a video dedicated to the north korean agricultural system, not just the organization of farms, but also typical crops and areas of the country that agriculture is practiced. Ive studied cuban agriculture before and there have been a ton of super interesting developments since the fall of the ussr, such as the rise of co-op farms replacing state run cash crop farms meant for export, as well as a huge increase in urban gardens/farms that now provide a significant amount of the fruits and vegetables in cuban cities. North Korea has a much colder climate with a shorter growing season, but are there urban farms or even casual gardens in the cities?

I had a friend of mine who served in the United States Army. He told me he was sent to South Korea, out in the cold, cold hills. He said it was the coldest place he ever went to! I asked him if he liked it. He said, "Man, when I finally left, I got on the plane and I didn't look back!" Edit: Really liked your video, you must have done an incredible amount of research on a subject from such a secretive country! 👍👍👍

Since the medal for Hero of the Republic was started at the commencement of the Korean War, I can’t help but wonder how many soldiers were awarded the medal posthumously. I now the north lost significantly more men. 3:25 I have some doubts when the large Chinese army that crossed the border is referred to as a “volunteer” army. Considering the arms supply and general all around miserable conditions, I can’t understand why anyone would volunteer for such conditions. Love the video, of all countries, NK’s military hierarchy and awards are completely foreign to me.

I've been enjoying these videos. Sadly my into to DPRK was the erm 'comedy' The Interview. Which I'd never have watched if it weren't for the hack. Anyway. Leaving that abysmal movie behind. I've enjoyed learning about the actual north Korea... It's interesting to try and learn about a culture so foreign to my own.

A great book I recommend on this subject is "Orders, Decorations, and Medals of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea" by Colonel William A. Boik. It's a great book and worth every penny. The author is very knowledgeable on the subject, having been to North Korea twice himself.
