Can Dr. Dana make a video gym precautions?
@oatlatte4 жыл бұрын
If the gym opens at 6 am, go at 6 am. Fewer people, and people haven't been there hours before possibly coughing and spreading the virus. Disinfect the equipment you will be touching and constantly use hand sanitizer; don't go in the bathroom to wash your hands since the air in the bathroom is very stagnant, and people can cough in the bathroom without covering the cough since there's usually no one looking. Don't go to the gym to do cardio, go outside for a run. Only do activities in the gym that you could not possibly do somewhere else unless you had gym equipment.

Better to use a cheap pair of transparent swim goggles (the kind speed swimmers wear, not scuba divers). They are air tight so no droplets or aerosols can enter your eyes. Combined with a face mask, this would give you the best and least expensive overall protection. If I had to be in a questionable environment (flight, subway, etc) this would be my go to.

Question.... The virus hangs in the air, so as the biggest danger is many people in a confined space, why isn't it mandatory for airlines to circulate UV sterilized air?...... This would make the environment much safer, not only for covid, but for all the other bugs you tend to get, from airline travel. Costs are minimal, benefits are vast. It's in the airlines own interest, to make travel as safe as possible..... Makes perfect sense to me, but common sense is rare these days... lol

As idiotic as this sounds, I'm more worried about the flight itself versus coronavirus. Wearing PPE is not a problem for me. Just want the friggin plane to land incident-free at my destination and I get to live another day. My wife wants to take a cruise in April 2021 but we have to fly to the cruise terminal. It's over 8 months away and my flight anxiety is through the roof.

@@arachosia i know what you mean, but it's easier said than done. Because of my flying fear, I tend to focus on that 1 chance of something bad happening instead of the most likely outcome that nothing bad is going to happen. Sounds confusing & weird, but nevertheless it's what drives me insane.
@Sanguine_Addiction3 жыл бұрын
@@peeweelilee7464 I agree. What freaks me out is that of all the ways to go, dying in a plane crash/explosion/etc is the most gruesome way to die. Every time I board a flight and they close the cabin door I'm like that's it. Im trapped and my only chance to live is by getting to the destined Airport alive & safe. I havr to heavily sedate myself with dramamine and benadryl so I stay knocked out the entire flight.
