I am a 22 yr British Army Veteran with lots of injury through the yrs. I tried EVERYTHING for my back, however being a professional tattoo artist my back is constantly bend over. I have now read Dr Sarno’s book healing back pain. Watched his film. (Documentary) and unbelievably I am now pain free!! It’s UNBELIEVABLE! I was the biggest sceptic but in that much pain I would try anything...... and I am now PAIN FREE! And living an amazing happy life!! Can’t thank him enough. Dr Sarno I SALUTE YOU!!!!

This syndrome discussed in this segment can affect more than just your back. I was saved from excruciating pain 14 years ago when I stumbled Upon Dr. Sarno. I searched the internet every day for a year trying to find someone else who had what I had. Doctor after doctor proved nothing as to why I was having such pain. When I found Dr. Sarno I knew immediately I had found the answer. 50% of my symptoms disappeared immediately. The remaining symptoms took about 4 weeks to be completely gone. He was a truly exceptional Doctor.

While suffering from severe debilitating back pain I began reading Dr. Sarno's book the "The Divided Mind". I soon came to realize that his ideas also applied to me. It took a few months to completely adjust my thinking and for the pain to finally cease. That was 16 years ago, and I have not had any back pain since. Now in my 50's I continue to live an active life with no fear of pain. Thank You Dr. Sarno! 🙂

2:49 I don't know how some doctors even get to keep their jobs with such manners. I get that you can become jaded after working the same job every day and you don't want to lie to people, but you can be gentler than that. Reading the book and exploring TMS has within' a few weeks removed a lot of my pain and I'm confident in a few more weeks I will be back to normal after nearly a year of nonstop pain. Dr Sarno should be posthumously awarded the Nobel Peace Prize and would have if the medical industrial complex wasn't such a huge money maker that wants to champion short term relief instead of curing ailments.

this makes total sense. Rage causes constriction, the constriction over time causes extreme muscle tightening, which causes pain and can even cause physical deformity. Also I see some folks refusing to admit to their emotional issues, either from embarrassment or because subconsciously they don't want to let go of their defense mechanism. It is said that the addict secretly loves his addiction... Depak Chopra also once said "without guilt there can be no addiction." Next time you see a smoker saying "man I need to quit" just say "no you shouldn't quit, you should just keep smoking." You'll see the shock in their eyes, and then the disapproval, because you just killed their "high." They enjoy doing something "bad" if you tell them it isn't "bad" then that removes the fun of it. I could name 100 other examples- for example a "secret affair" that is no longer fun once they decide to go steady and its no longer "secret"

I’m as skeptical of crackpot woowoo substitutions for real medicine as anyone. To my complete and utter surprise, Dr. Sarno’s book changed my life by nearly completely eliminating over a decade’s worth of chronic back pain. Idk if he is right about the mechanism (oxygen depletion) that physically causes the pain, but I’m absolutely convinced that, at least in my case, the remedy he prescribes works wonders.

I've had tendonitis in my elbow, for the last year!.. I looked up tendon surgery. It says when the surgeon sews a tendon back together, it heals in 6 weeks!... So, why would tendonitis last any longer than that? Well, low and behold, after reading Sarnos book, my elbow pain is GONE!! This works!
@jefflampert6336
@jefflampert6336 2 жыл бұрын
One of the best tools that Sarno has is to realize the illogicalness of one's pain. Like you said, if tendon surgery heals in 6 weeks, why would tendinitis last a year!?! That kind of logical insight is what I apply when I start feeling pain and it's incredible how effective it is. Good work on your part!
@milliondollarzach

@@jefflampert6336 Thanks! His book is such an eye opener! .. Makes me wonder if a lot of these surgeries people have are really not necessary! And the doctors are just taking peoples money! I've seen people come out of some surgery that was supposed to cure them. And a year later they're still in pain, and doing all this physical therapy! .. It's like....
@larryc1964
@larryc1964 2 жыл бұрын
@@milliondollarzach yep. The mainstream medical , for the most part, has no answer. They just do what their training has told them and schedule surgery without any consideration of the impact of the brain on the physical body. This mentality has to change! Mainstream medical has to get onboard with Sarno’s teachings but it’s almost impossible because these doctors are so invested in the education they received from big pharma backed physician medical schools. We can only hope that in the future, Sarno’s findings that he uncovered will at least be considered by the mainstream medical, together with all the success stories that confirm conquering TMS. If only the mainstream would listen and truly consider Sarno’s theory, the general population could escape in some cases, years of debilitating Pain!

“I don’t have a back problem, I have a personality problem”… doesn’t sound like good news at first, since changing (or improving for that matter) one’s personality is known to be more difficult than simply following a modern, up-to-date back exercise program. On the other hand, to change the way we use our lower backs, and our whole selves or that matter, to practice spinal hygiene, move in a non-destructive manner, which requires us to sense and feel more deeply, to bring attention to ourselves, a complete makeover of how we think about movement that is, that’s actually a way of changing (or improving) our personality.

The "scientist"(yes, with " ") who said "it's too simplistic" is exactly what's wrong with modern medicine; they *love* to complicate everything. I personally don't think it's simplistic at all, and that it takes a genius to discover such thing. From what I heard, Dr. Sarno is a holocaust survivor, and as a non believer, I think he's godsent. Some day someone will prove it, so, just hang in there Mr scientist(pun totally intended!)
