marvellous - so simple to make the choices that feed the wolf of love

Self Directed Neuroplasticity saved my life in 2011. It broke my life threatening addiction to alcohol. Afterwhich I was so impressed I applied it to such matters as becoming more patient with self and others. Developing a real sense of self love and love for others. So in short it saved my life and then it made my life worth living. Along the way I came across Rick Hanson....No amount of thanks is enough for what his work did for me and through me for so many I came into contact with in nearly a decade From an actress with stage fright to a mother who witnessed the sudden death of her 10 year old son and understandably was suicidal. Until she learned to accept the distressing and to find and savour that which is good. Her husband got his wife back and her daughter got her mother back...but she got the ability to remember her son fully back....

Thanks so much for teaching us about neuroplasticity and sharing the latest research on the activity of the mind on brain development. I've benefited tremendously from it and will continue to "take in the good" and filling the hole in my heart that seems to be symptomatic of our society. Great explanation on the evolutionary origin of the negativity bias, and why it works against us in the modern day. Your stories are a great way to learn and your sense of humor is much appreciated in digesting these profoundly relevant ideas.
