The songs melody is from the song "SS Marschiert in Feindesland", translated as "SS marches in enemy territory", also called "Teufelslied" which translates to "The Devil's Song". The music in SS Marschiert comes from another song called "Lied der Legion Condor", translated as "Song of the Condor Legion", a Francoist Spain Legion, written by Wolfram Philipps and Christian Jährig, two Condor Legion pilots, with the rank of Onerleutnant, which is the German name for the highest ranking lieutenant officer in the German, Swiss, and Austrian armies. A marching song with the same melody was adopted into the Charlemagne French SS Division, Estonian SS Division, the Latvian Legion, and the Norwegian Legion. This song was the SS marching song during Operation Barbarossa. Yes Dragões do Ar uses the melody. And in 2013, Stefan Gotschacher, a press secretary of the right-wing populist and national-conservative Freiheitliche Partei Österreichs (Freedom Party of Austria or FPÖ), posted the lyrics on his Facebook page and got fired. Anyways that's the story of SS Marschiert in Feindesland.

The song helheim by Therion, grüne teufel for the German fallschirmjäger, På Vikingtog, and of course SS marschiert in Feindesland, all use this melody. I wonder where it originated, which song first used it. It’s a badass march.
