The engine production for the F40 was very conservative in power cause of the legislation addressed to delta temperature by the intercoolers and the fact that any engine was deliberated singularily from the dyno test room. By this, the F40 power was considered to be over 500 hp to every single engine when running in was completed.

This XJR-15 is not a Jaguar, but a JaguarSport, formed by the joint venture of Jaguar & TWR. Different company and different logo

Errr how does the Jaguar lose?…power the same and it weighs over 200kg less..it’s 0-60 is 3.2 sec…the F40 3.8 sec…..something quite suspicious here

Experts say F40 had much more power than the factory claimed, over 500 hp. It's even said on one of Chris Harris' videos. Also this is the real world with real drivers.

Watch the video again the jag definitely needed a better driver he was literally in second gear for a split second, however the f40 would still eventually walk away

The F40 actually had 530 hp, tested by Best Motoring. Thats why it is even faster than a F50.

Was thinking the same thing. Watching the in car, the shifting of the F-40 was much smoother. Wondering if either there was a clutch issue with the Jag or the driver didn't have a feel for it's transmission.

@@djplayskeys ive seen a few of these hot motoring japanese shows and a few didn't make sense. Maybe favoritism, top gear did it all the time

@@djplayskeys XJR-15 has a dog box, the driver was not familiar with that, and F40's have much more power that Ferrari admits, close to 550.

@@cirian75 yeah in a best motoring race that included the f40, all of the cars were put on a dyno first and the f40 put down well over 400whp.

@@Tipo-F120b which video are you referring to? The only best motoring video I saw with f40 racing a Supra is this one kzfaq.info/get/bejne/o5xgn659tKrdZ3k.html The Supra doesn't have 1000hp, it has 540ps (530 hp) and it only lost to the f40 by half a second in the drag race.
