Drag soldering a 100 pin 14mm QFP for a PiStorm 600

Correction: I say "solder paste" at the beginning when I mean "flux".
Drag soldering a 100 pin 14mm MAX II QFP on a PiStorm 600 PCB captured directly from my microscope's camera.
JLCPCB assembled most of these boards, but the MAX II chips are pretty rare at the moment so I manually solder these on from a pre-existing stock.
Tools used:
* JBC CB-2BB iron with a C245-965 1.9mm mini spoon tip
* SolderKing 30cc flux in a Metcal dispensing gun
* JBC PK vacuum pick and place
* Kester 0.4mm 63/37 solder
* Wiha 7a tweezers
* AmScope 3.5X-90X Trinocular Boom Stereo Microscope with 144-LED Light and AF USB Camera

Drag soldering a 256 pin pich 5mm or less TQFP

Not sure what chip uses that spec, sounds more like QFN territory. I might use hot air / hot plate for that (which is what I do for QFN).

HELP! I'm becoming strangely obsessed with microsoldering. I blame my new JBC. PS: you said you use the 1.9mm C245965, but I was told that was a bit small so was just about to buy the 2.3mm C245067 (bent spoon). Which do you think I should get? Cheers

I have no experience of the 2.3mm, so I can't really advise. But I do really like the 1.9mm one. I also primarily use a 2.0mm spoon T210 tip on my JBC B-IRON.

@@Black_Myth679 I am using flux not paste (I corrected this in the video description). This is a spoon shaped soldering iron tip so I'm collecting a small ball of solder from some solder wire inside the spoon before dragging each side.

Are you doing all this whilst looking at the monitor for the microscope?

Yes, I have a 22" monitor in front of me which is what I'm looking at. My eyes aren't good enough to eyeball this :)

@@linuxjedivideo I bet. Whose eyes would be good enough for that?! I've been trying soldering whilst looking at a monitor but depth perception is suddenly way harder and I end up with burns over my fingers.

@@atomnetton I started with an old binocular microscope (probably older than me) and eventually upgraded to this. A binocular scope may be the way to go so you have depth.
