Rangiku Matsumoto Sandal seems a bit too out of his wits to be one of the Sha’brytol...maybe the stone made him? A literal motherless son born of the stone to act as the titans avatar on thedas? It would explain why he’s so childlike,after all.What would a Titan know of living as a mortal? It would have the intellect of a toddler at best.

The story make It seem like magic comes from the living: Lyrium, red lyrium (corrupted lyrium) and blood. The big question is how all these living things are connected, why it fuels magic and what role the so called God/Gods has in this. Everything seems more polarized into good vs. evil: the good side (blue lyrium, good gods, Andraste etc.) and the evil side (Corypheus, old evil gods, dark spawn and red lyrium).

Taylan Ertan Well techinally the Evanuris and Titans war wasnt exactly good vs evil Elgarnan only started to kill titans because the titans "reshapping" was destroying elven cities. So elgarnan came swooping in and killed a few (made one titans body into a statue of himself after he killed the titan lol) and that kicked off the war which we know the Evanruis won.

The evanuris seem to me to be a product of their surroundings to protect their people, which then twisted into what we know Solas has said of them I dont believe solas completely though. It feels to black and white and hes known for not giving the full truth of events Its possible the Evanuris arent as bad as hes implied. But they are definitely more powerful than anything ever seen

Cory may have special powers due to being the first darkspawn and may have abilities from the Fade or maybe the Maker, so his taint may be stronger and thus can possess someone. I think the Hero was looking for the cure for the calling to not die early. Cory appeared long after the Hero disappeared.

It is on the wiki, and apparently this information comes from 'The world of Thedas'. The high priest of Urthemiel was called 'The Architect of the works of beauty'.

Yes, and I would like the Grey Wardens to return to normal again in the next game. The Inquisition should work with the Wardens to hunt Solas down. I need more interaction between the characters.

Blood Magic was originally used as a means to strengthen the effects of other existing magic schools, but eventually became it's own unique style over time. The reason why it became illegal, is because it has the ability to mind control people, and the Chantry is religiously opposed to the idea of mages having any kind of authority over others. Also, Solas explains to us that blood magic does not draw power from The Fade, and actually makes accessing The Fade more difficult. Which is probably why Tevinter needed to sacrifice thousands of slaves in order to harness enough power to access the golden city.

Or you can comprehend that all magic is blood magic, its all driven by force of will and living energy. What people call "blood magic" is merely a more direct, older form that uses blood as a medium of living energy. Life + Will = Effect thus magic, life can be from any source, minor and ambient like most mages practice drawing upon what we think of as stamina or it can be directly pulled from the physical form for greater effect.

It’s all a form of blood magic, but Lyrium seems to be safer compared to blood. Considering it literally comes from the earth, I guess it’s more “grounded” than using normal blood.

***** play the last DLC and you will see what the Fade really is... well IF you payed attention to the story and lore over the course of the past 3 games and all there DLC's of course :p I think its pretty interesting what the fade really is, and I can't wait for the sequel, considering what the fade is, and considering who is doing the plan (trying not to spoil anything here so it sounds vague as hell) its going to be epic... I totally want the possibility to recreate and use the hero of ferelden, hawke and the inquisitor as your companions in the next game (given if they are still alive in your current playtrue.) Your theory is not very far off tough as it is quite possible that titans are ancient spirits who clinged themselves to the very earth, rather then a body or assume a form. even so, they would not be normal spirits.

+Wayne Cox Originally he was slated to appear in a second Expansion of Origins (which was cancelled). That may be a clue that Bioware doesn'tconsiders him dead. The fact the last World of Thedas volume confirmed he was Urthemiel's Priest (hence one of the 7 Darkspawn Magisters) should also be a clue he may be alive.

+Cole Cash I just finished it, and I kind of figured somehow she was able to bring Renn back to life, and the cry people heard was him returning to life. I get the feeling after the cry for help quest, that she dug up Renn's body and took it back to the Basin and sealed off the Basin, and either there raised Renn, or raised him before taking him there. I just hope this will tie into the next dragon age though, maybe a dwarf comes to the surface needing help from the inquisitor and he was able to cast magic just like Valta could, maybe a kid grown up and taking place time in the future.

you guys do remember Sandal, right, their is a possibility that he's a mage because in DA2 when Hawke asks about the frozen ogre, Sandal says "Not Enchantment!", just a theory!

Workgalaxy47 yea I thought he was in the prior game. I would like to see some kind of closure for Sandal with an explanation for how he could do that. Remember he was found in the deep roads, maybe he is from from that area with the lyrium and titans, and a parent wanted to send him to live with other dwarves. Maybe he absorbed enough energy from the lyrium to gain magic and possibly live longer. Between the start of origins and the end of Dragon Age 2 he didn't seem to have aged at all.

Oh my God, I completely agree. I had to solo it as a mage/Knight enchanter, because all my melee party members died instantly, and my other mage's ai was too stupid to dodge attacks. I actually have an easier time on Dark Souls and Bloodborne combined than on this boss fight.

The exception is when an answer creates new questions. That shuts out some possibilities, but makes new ones in their stead. Storytelling is founded on questions, incomplete answers, and open-ended conclusions.
