Nice thing about the Dragon Claw is it uses the .50 caliber (.495 diameter) slugs, rather than the much more expensive .510 slugs used in so many other guns. Keeps the cost of shooting down a lot. C.A.P. Arms has done an upgraded version of the Dragon Claw II (the Gen II CAP Dragon), with a claimed max 800 foot pounds of energy.

Oh cmon, I just got my Dragon Claw II and there’s already an upgrade?? Can’t keep up I’m telling you! And you better also get a pad for the butstock, I can imagine some serious recoil at 800 fpe. Hope to try it one day… thanks as always my friend!

To put out 300 Joules like that is pretty impressive. I have to say these are definitely an option for someone who chooses to hunt with an airgun. Despite the upfront cost of purchase, the cheaper shooting is a nice plus and you are less restricted where you can "play" with them, i.e. backyards and/or swamps. Be safe out there my friend.

@@AirgunAlley no problem they have been around a couple years. They just started with a better valve. More powerful and more shots. But I am going to stick with my Cap dragon and Cap recluse I have been using a couple years. They are pricey. But well made

Hey I have a great idea what about you getting a block of clay 1ft by 1ft square then get the wire with handles they use for pottery you can shoot the clay block get even and fair results on penetration by cutting it with the wire in sections then fake a square wood box with on section missing then remold the clay to use over and over again add water to keep it moist save on money.

Very Impressive. Believe it or not, the Ballistic Performance of your Rifle is Very Similar to that of a .45 ACP . The Velocity is Less, but your Ammo is Heavier (the pellet). You'll be having Lots of Fun with them. Good Stuff Buddy !!!

Oh yes !.. Finally we have reached the power... This weapon of yours is really nice.. I also liked the compressed air cylinder..it is quite compact.. But I liken these weapons to something that has reached the latest trend in the world: electric cars!.. It needs to be "charged" occasionally to maintain its power and stay in range...

If you want cheap power and accuracy, try hatsan piledriver 50 cal shooting slugs long range if you go with 45 cal slightly better for longer range with your carbon bottle will be great backpack duo. Or Hatsan factor sniper couse it have a magazine in .35 cal and regulator. Both over 200 joules in any caliber you choose from .30 to .50

The sound on your video is messed up? My dragonclaw got a leak by the air nozzle. I can't find a video on taking them apart & I don't know of anywhere in west Michigan that work on them😔 they should of put the cap upgrade in the new unit so there more options of pellet speed? From the research I've done the hammer is stronger even with the cap upgrade. I'd like to try a zues or Winchester 70-45🤘 what's better bout #2 just the amount of shots per fill& charging handle? Maybe they fixed the leak problem? This will be 3rd time I send it out for leaks🤬💩💔

Hey man thanks for this and sorry to hear about your issues with it. My very first Dragon Claw had issues, luckily it was still under warranty so they replaced it with a new one and I haven’t had any problems with it ever since. Oh man I also would love to test all of those to see which one is the most powerful. Yes, the audio was terrible!! All because of the very strong wind

What I would like to see Seneca do is take thier "Double Shot" twin barrel 50 caliber PCP rifle which has (2) smooth bore barrels (which according to reviews, suffers from poor acuracy) and replace the top barrel with a rifled barrel from the "Dragon Claw" It appears to me from what little info I have been able to gather, that they look similar enough that it might be as simple as purchasing a replacement "Dragon Claw"barrel and simply swapping it with the "Double Shot" barrel. But nobody I have tried contacting will verify this to be true. Well, that's my 2 cents worth anyhow... L8R G8R :-)

Yes it’s not a regulated rifle. So each shot will be weaker than the one before. But with 500cc of air - you get a lot of powerful shots

Yes this one is a bit olds school, but with a little practice the loading and cocking can be done quite fast. That said a pump action with mag would be very, very cool my dear friend! And thank you as always, Marco
