Ideas for shirts? Three words: Dissapointed Akita Dad . Maybe a three wolf moon esque shirt of huskies singing the song of their people, a grinch feet shirt (or a printed onesie or socks with grinch feet), people sized happy hoodies (I know they exist, but not marketed as a "happy hoodie"), a shirt with a list of dangers to society prominently featuring Gizmo (we all know he's a twisted sadist)..... I could go on. Let me know if you want some more ideas, lol.

Our Samoyed used to sneak up on you, stalking and freezing when you looked at him, and then when he got close enough he would pounce on you and pin you down and nibble you all over so lightly it nearly tickled you to death. He also ate plastic drainpipes and table furniture, raw potatoes and ice cubes to keep his nibbling technique up to scratch. Among many of his other antics he once rolled the entire kitchen lino and dragged it out into the conservatory for us to discover in the morning. Best dog in the world, bless him.

Our Akita does the same thing - we call it "bunnying". It's basically what Spitz-type dogs seem to do when they're in relatively tight quarters but they still want to run, because it gives them maximum agility rather than all-out speed. Hilariously, she seems to have taught our Chihuahua to do it, too. Believe me when I say that's a sight to behold - a Chihuahua that can actually turn even _faster_ is basically impossible to catch.

I love how he wasn't even trying to full-on bite Vanessa. He simply wanted something to nom on, plain and simple. That part was the funniest. Plus, she throws her "uh-uh" finger up at him, and yet he STILL goes after it. It's as if he's saying, "Do I LOOK like I care what you say to me, human? Give me your finger, so I can nom." EDIT: I think Fredo and Finn should get together to record. They can call the record "Going Great Gonzos at the Groomer"; They can cover such classics as "Death Before Deshedding", "Towel Tantrums", "The Lava Sprayer", "I Am Husky; Hear Me Scream" and then (to close) "The Song Of My People". It would be a hit with all the huskies around the world.

20 years ago I rescued (bought with $20) a Hines -57 from a backyard breeder near Smoky mountains. She was 1/8 white Chow (purple blotch on her tongue), 1/8 Border Collie (very agile), 1/4 white Husky (hyper singer), 1/4 Eastern Coyote and 1/4 Canadian wolf. She hunts and ate small prey, attack from behind (failed on skunks), howl and sing, jumps over 5 ft wall, refuses to sleep inside, dug her own den for -10 F winter, very friendly with people. But was labeled "Will Bite" by groomers, so the vet sedated her for long claws trimming. She herded all dogs into a corner in dog parks (we got kicked out) by pushing and nipping ears. She died in 2015 from cancer. 🙂🙃😪😇

Yeah. Unless they've been _particularly_ poorly raised Huskys almost universally default to _holding_ the offending hand/ arm/ etc. away from whatever they don't like to show their displeasure instead of actually biting. This also applies to a hand that has for some reason stopped petting them ( _*gasp!!? *_ ) , generally manhandling (dogmouthling?) it back onto their hindquarters after a few yips fail to get their point across to whoever foolishly decided to put in on their own lap for a while. :^)

May I ask what the biggest thing is that you don’t like I’m really trying with training my husky and the person I’m taking her to says she’s not a bad dog just gets distracted easy and is really hard for her to keep focus and I’m trying to make sure she isn’t a pin for pet sitters and things like that
@arcaii1117

@@ThrowingTexas144 really, the fact that you're bothering to train her at all is awesome. i usually get people who have unruly ones that were never taught to not jump on people, or not yell and howl until they get what they want, or don't know to play gently with different dog breeds. they do tend to get along with whatever other dog lives in the house, from my experiences, but there's usually a reason it's a dog and not a cat they live with. huskies (at least in my area) are smart, but the owners got them because they're pretty and weren't prepared for the work that comes with making huskies tolerable. they're a difficult breed to begin with - certainly not a breed for beginners or people who just want a pretty dog.

With 20+ years of husky experience, I'm more convinced by the day that someone figured out how to breed a wolf with a cat some 2000 years ago and got the husky as a result. they groom themselves more than any dog I've ever seen. Love to climb and be in the highest places. Escape artist extraordinaire. And, yes, they like to play like a cat too.

So true. In my neighbourhood there’s a house with an outdoor staircase. Most of the day you’ll see the tenants’ husky sitting on top of the staircase, watching cars, people and animals pass by. I believe she doesn’t do that on the roof just because she hasn’t found a way to get up there yet, but I’m also sure she thinks the stairs are high enough to see any stray cat attempt to invade her kingdom.

I had 3 huskies a few years ago. And yes, they are incredible escape artists. They can climb and jump and LOVE to run (away). I bailed them from doggie jail( the pound) a few times. Their group howling was a trip. I miss them dearly, and will always be grateful that they came into my life.
