Man thanks Ryan!! I really needed this because drawing contact is my weakness. I'm able to use my off arm now and I can do veer finishes as well but when it really comes to drawing contact the whole time I just can't get the hang of it.

What’s crazy is I’m 47 and played college hoops and drawing contact in these ways wasn’t really something that was taught back in the 90s, and very few people if any really did this at least not super consciously and with the intent that’s it’s used today. Hell if someone would have pulled out a modern euro step back then the refs heads would have spun off and exploded. Toni Kukoc had sort of a minor euro back then but nothing like what everybody uses today. Great content you have here.

@ripsense80644 жыл бұрын
Hey coach can you please make a video of how to score over a help defender while your primary defender is still on your hip. Very often I get a step on my on ball defender and he keeps up with me but I can always finish unless help comes from the opposite side because I don’t know where to position the ball to prevent it from getting stripped or blocked. I’m really good at acrobatic layups and finishing through contact buts sometimes I just get trapped and can’t split them or create the space to float it. Thanks coach

This is so crucial to playing at a high level. However, similar to how you can take as many steps as you want if your not picking up the ball, what’s the line between creating contact and an offensive foul/charge?
@R2bball4 жыл бұрын
Depends on the ref. Just don’t extend or hook

Can you make a video about basketball confidence? Like during tryouts, I always passed the ball because I didn’t want to look bad and because I didn’t have a lot of confidence while on the court. Can you make a video about confidence?

You don’t work hard enough. If you worked harder you’d be confident

Ryan Razooky Basketball that’s actually what I told myself😂😂 Thanks. Im literally gonna grind so hard this summer. Ima wake up at 4AM, run 12 miles. Go back home, chill for an hour or two, then go to the basketball courts for like 4 hours. And then repeat that for the whole summer. That way I’ll have an edge on my competition. Thank you😃

Use resistance training and isometrics to build stability in your core and other major joints like knees and ankles joints so you can maintain balance while drawing contact.
