Thank you for this tutorial Michele. I would very much appreciate being shown how to draw water, smooth, rippled and waves. Well you did ask!

Very helpfu1 and so clear! I'd be interested in a video that demos how to get different textures of textiles to look realistic -- shiny fabrics, nubby, leathery, sheer, etc.

In this video, you showed how to use pencil side (not cross-hatching), blending tool, tissues, embosser, eraser and textured backing under the paper to draw realistic grass fields, bricks and clouds. Please follow up with running water (streams & falls), rocks & boulders, weathered wood, and chipped painted walls. I love to sketch, and these videos have improved my work. Thanks!

All of these techniques are wonderful and the brick wall and grasses were my favorite. I came across a photo which was a field of long stemmed flowers with really small yellow blooms. These flowers were as thick as the grass in this tutorial. Most of scene is waves of yellow. I wonder how one would draw this type of field. Thank you Michele for sharing.

A great demo of different techniques! I have drawn for fun in the past, but never used blending much. I was very impressed with how much the blending enhances the drawing! Thanks very much for the lesson!

This is really useful. I tried a cotton bud to blend and it worked well. I also have a Tombow mono eraser which produced great cracks! Thanks for the tutorial and I agree about how to draw water.

I have no actual talent (!), so I'm always happy to learn a technique that helps me get the result I want but don't know how to draw. Never thought to use an edge of hand-torn paper to add texture to a drawing, but that's brilliant! Thanks so much, I know I will use that one. 💙

After watching a number of your tutorials, I've just become a member, having subscribed a few weeks ago. My nickname is 'Cat-man', I'm owned by three cats. I have M.E/CFS and Fibromyalgia. I've recently taken up drawing to hopefully enhance my life a little. My health impacts on my life a lot, so it's easy does it, for me. I've definitely got a fire in my belly to do this, and hopefully your tutorials will help me. 😺

Really useful video. I worked along with you & as I had sandpaper piece & a few plastic nets from fruit was able to see the differences made. The effects were super. I did wonder how we used pencils for atmosphere so I ‚ve learnt some more. Still find „ clouds“ a bit daunting in graphite! Thanks for your teachings. As, someone mentioned water, ripples etc. could be useful. Thanks

I would be interested in watching how you would do a doodle portrait of a family, a person, an animal like a bird, and anything else you could think of. Mix of cartoon and realistic drawing of items. Having a hard time not being perfect with every detail. 🫤
