I've been a tiny bit frustrated with the results of my art, so I'm taking a look back at a piece I was/am proud of and trying to follow the process and mindset I used at the time. Let see if it has any impact on how I feel about the result this time!

I feel like he's a cool older brother. His younger sister thinks he's the coolest thing, and he doesn't find her annoying. When she and her friends come talk to him, he's always nice an encouraging to them. I think he's also a guitar boy? He has a couple really close friends who he's in a band with.

I think this is my all-time favourite illustration of yours, and I've been following you for years! I love the look of the background, with the semi-circle of sky, the texture of the wall, I love the way you did the lineart on him, the whole feel of the image, and it's so well-done in terms of anatomy, expression, scaling/sizing, atmosphere, colours... You've truly gone above and beyond with this one, Waffles!! He turned out amazing!

Rin! You’re so inspiring with your art! I love the way you think through everything and how you handle mistakes. By any chance could you do a video where you either do a rival gang for your original characters or a video where you somehow draw with a literal waffle? (these are weird requests I know. Here's a couple of more specific things I've noticed, but keep in mind this is just what I've seen as a high school student in the Midwest USA :) •Jeans all year or basketball shorts all year are common •Tennis shoes are common, or brand name sneakers if they care about fashion •Hats aren't super common, and are almost always baseball caps •Shorter on the sides and longer on top is the most common hairstyle •Hoodies, yes, for sure, but usually just during the cold months, only a few people are willing to suffer in the heat Thanks for reading all the way through, I hope this is helpful :)

Whoa! You are posting so many videos recently I love it! :D I remember my first ever crush had that 90s hair cut! Haha, I thought it was so cute back then. I absolutely love everything about this illustration! The color scheme, the fact that it's a dude! The pose and the background! Came out awesome as usual! The final result was stunning! The blue sky and clouds shape in the background with the line around it really make everything pop! A great stylistic choice!

It's awesome that you can look back on earlier drawings you're really proud of.(and yes, that girl with the big glasses and striped dress is beautifully done) I examine anything I've drawn that's more than 30 days old and cringe. 😟 The fact you have such a critical eye for your own drawings means you'll always keep improving.
